Mi watches the way her lip curls over her teeth in distaste, it was a rather... feral look, one that Mi could only assume was from being a survivor. Frowning briefly, she continues cleaning the girl up, moving slow as if she were a wild animal. The last thing the woman needed was to be punched in the face for attempting to help. As that concern etches into her features she's altogether surprised when the stranger snaps out a command, Miyako's own brows shooting up in surprise at the scolding tone. Mi's fingers hesitate, but only a moment, before her eyes narrow in concern once again, "Stop what?" she asks softly, entirely unaware that, that pity was entirely written across her face.

Sighing to herself at the now ruined and damp clothes, she shoves the napkins back into her bag, it was a hopeless task to begin with. Reaching out slender fingers, she reaches for Malia's shirt, no sense of privacy within the depths of her mind as she solely focuses on the woman's burns beneath that damp material. Clucking her tongue, she ignores the way the stranger attempts to wriggle away from her but she holds strong, noting the red skin. Her fault. It was definitely Mi's fault. Sighing again, she drops the material, offering to buy her new clothes and turn gives her direction on how to take care of her wounds.

Again, another look of surprise dances into Miyako's eyes as the woman speaks. She was strange, as if she had only been introduced to this world very recently. Clearing her throat, she ponders for a moment, deciding on how she would explain what "new" was. Rocking back onto her heels, she offers a small smile her head tilting to the side as she regards the woman still perched on the ground, "Clothes that have never been worn by anyone else," Miyako explains gently before Malia states that her wounds would heal.

The girl was so utterly unconcerned about her wounds, it was bizarre. Perhaps the stranger had experienced far more pain in her life than Mi could imagine. With that thought, Mi straightens her shoulders, determined to take care of this girl in front of her. "Yes, it will. Still, the cold water will help make it feel better," she says a hint of sternness entering her lyrics, though she doesn't push it any more than that. She certainly couldn't force the woman to do anything, only offer advice. As she continues to answer the rambling questions from the stranger, Mi adopts a gentle smile on her lips, denying that she likes beer and that she does indeed like sandwiches. "I couldn't agree more."

She was surprised to see the smile that so graces the woman's lips, it transformed her face into someone who wanted to be approached, it made her less... standoffish somehow. When Miyako stands, she offers that hand to Malia, wondering if she will actually take it and there is surprise in her eyes as a warm hand grips her own. Helping her into a standing position, she notes the way the girl inspects her clothing and Mi can't help but cringe, an apologetic look flitting across her features. Furrowing her brows at another stranger's name on Malia's lips, Mi tilts her head, pondering briefly. "Who's Henry?" She asks curiously, Miyako was never very good at minding her own business; she told herself it was for the good of this woman, she was altogether concerned for her.

As their conversation takes yet another turn with Miyako talking about school she struggles to hide the astonishment threatening to break across her face as Malia questions what school is. Perhaps she was locked up in a house somewhere and she only just escaped. Perhaps this Henry was her captor. Horror clenches her insides as she struggles to swallow the emotion, she had to remember that the woman standing before her was entirely unharmed, a bit different, but unhurt. Still, she plasters another smile on her face as she explains gently, "It's a place where you go to learn new things. I'm going there to learn how to help heal people," she doesn't use the word 'doctor' Mi wasn't sure the woman would understand what a doctor was, so she saves her the trouble.

When she offers her lunch, Miyako can't help but let another musical laugh escape her lips as Malia simply looks at her stomach, as if she could inspect its contents on whether it was full or not. "If you change your mind, let me know. It's the least I can do," she says, amusement coating her words as she motions Malia to follow her, keeping several feet in between them so the woman wouldn't be scared and flee. "There's a shop just a few streets down, let's see what we can find you," she says brightly as she continues down the block, snuggling her chin into her jacket once more to block the cold. "Sorry again about spilling my drink all over you, I've been a little distracted as of late," she smiles apologetically but her steps don't hesitate until she pauses at the street to let a car pass.

"Oh! I never asked you your name," Mi inquires briefly, pausing just long enough to stop and look at the girl and await an answer before they move on, arriving just outside a small boutique. Opening the door, she gestures Malia in, following in suit and enjoying the warm air that caresses her skin. Sighing in relief, she unzips her coat slightly, "That's much better," she says happily, turning to look at Malia to see what she thought of the clothing store.
