What You'll Find Here

Anacosta Heights
Dupont Circle
Hawethorn Village
River Dale

Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

death incarnate & night triumphant

Andras arches a brow at Lani as she questions him and proceeds to tell him that she hadn't mentioned anything about him. Another midnight chuckle escapes his lips as he continues to watch her, that predator lurking behind dark hazel eyes, "I'm wounded, Lani. You haven't told your friend anything about me?" He purrs teasingly, before a more serious note enters his lyrics, though that lazy grin remains, "Your friend isn't human, darling. Be wary who you befriend, though you don't have to worry about her," he gestures with his hand towards the door where Elain had only left moments ago. Instead of preparing for the prattle of questions Lani was sure to throw his way, he merely offers a shrug, "Because I can see that you're dying to know, your friend there is a Dark Hunter; I expect you'll have more depth to your conversations later down the road," he explains, "Talk to her about it, she seems like the willing and open type, I wouldn't want to take away that bonding experience you women so like to have."

Again, he teases lightly, his eyes narrowing in on her as he offers his arm and she takes it, her slender frame pressed to his side. It takes him a moment to gather his thoughts while he relishes the feel of her warm body pressed to his side. When she returns the teasing, his hazel eyes flash down towards her, beyond delighted that she wanted to play. "Oh? Forgive me, lady, that I did not arrive in a more timely manner. Perhaps next time I'll whisk you away to the lodge and keep you there for all eternity," he winks at her, his eyes bright with laughter as he watches Lani closely. As they continue down the path, he apologizes for his lack of human orientation and the laughter that so falls from Lani's lips rings through his ears. How he loved to hear that amusement; he would make it a goal to continue to make her laugh, to help that smile to constantly adorn her features. Her response to him has Andras grinning wickedly down at her, his eyes becoming slightly hooded, "Ah, am I not enough Fae to experience? Clearly, I must not be doing my job if you would like to experience other Fae men," he teases, though his already deep tenors drop an octave.

How he enjoyed making Lani squirm. "All you had to do was ask, Lani. How would you like to experience me?" He purrs darkly at her, his hazel eyes seeking out her features, hoping for that crimson blush that so adorns her face while around him. Their game of cat and mouse is halted briefly by arriving at the coffee shop, Andras holding open the door for Lani as he follows her in. While she orders, he takes the time to study her, his eyes traveling across her delicately curled blonde hair, the shape of her features. As she finishes, Andras allows that lazy smile to so adorn his midnight lips once more before briefly looking at the barista behind the counter, "A small black tea will be fine, thank you," He murmurs as he fishes out cash from inside his jacket. Paying for their drinks, they take a step away from the counter and wait at the other end, Andras's eyes scanning the crowd of people, noting each and every one, though he's careful to keep the majority of his attention on Lani. "And for your information, human things are quite difficult. Your race is constantly changing, shifting, forever restless. It's hard to become accustomed to such things when each generation is over before a blink of an eye."

It was true. Eighty, a hundred years, that was nothing to a faerie; it seemed almost equivalent to a human year. "On a serious note," he pauses, glancing down at the woman, "Anytime you would like to visit the lodge, please let me know. I can arrange it though I can't promise I will be able to stay the entire time while you are there. Ida, however, is always there," he offers Lani a gentle smile, just as their drinks are called out. Looking away from her, he moves to the counter, retrieving the drinks and slipping a sleeve onto Lani's breve. Returning to the girl, he hands her the drink and offers his arm once more before leading her back out into the cold, "As much as I would like to experience the modern day coffee shop I would rather not," he laughs, breathing the fresh air deeply to clear his senses, "It's hard to scent in there," he points to his nose in explanation. He had never truly explained just what faeries were capable of, the strength, the heightened senses, the speed, he was curious as to what Lani thought. Though he suspected she had at least and inkling of what he was capable of.

"We have a few hours before our dinner reservation," he says suddenly, lifting the hot tea to his lips and taking a sip, careful not to scald himself, "Perhaps we can do a little shopping and find yourself something to wear for the evening?" He suggests though he changes course to the fancier shopping district within Sacrosanct. They walk in companionable silence for awhile, taking in the sights of the city. The loudness of the human world was never something Andras appreciated, why they needed metal vehicles to carry them around was beyond him; plus, they were awfully rank, filling the world with such pollution. "I didn't get you anything for your birthday," he smiles apologetically, "I suppose you can just have me," he again grins wickedly down at her with a casual shrug, "Though, If you'd rather not have me; I'll offer you five questions and I will answer them as honestly as I can," he explains, tilting his head at her as they move farther into the shopping district.

After a moment, he finds the little shop he had been looking for, gesturing to it with a hand, "This will do," he states, tossing his tea away into the garbage outside the boutique before leading the way inside. The clothing racks and mannequins that littered the floor held such expensive items, though Andras doesn't bat an eye at them. Before they can make their way too far into the shop, a women appears with bleach blonde hair, clearly dyed one too many times, clad in far too tight of clothing, though she excludes such confidence as she makes her way to them in heels, clacking on the floor. She gives Lani a quick glance before she turns her sultry gaze on Andras, beaming at him far too happily. Allowing that lazy mask to slip onto his features, he shoves a hand into his pocket. "Hello! Are you out shopping with your girlfriend today?" the woman inquires brightly, though her eyes remain on Andras and Andras alone. The faerie man regards her with a disinterested look before turning his hazel eyes on Lani, "Yes, yes I am," he says to the woman while his gaze remains on Lani, a playful twinkle dancing in his eyes.

There'a a clear disappointed look on the woman but she quickly recovers and instead tells them if they needed any help she would be around. Andras doesn't glance her was as the attendant retreats back to the desk. A wry grin breaks across his lips, "Forgive me, I didn't particularly feel like fending off that woman for the entirety of our visit," he apologizes though he continues to smile wickedly at her, "Well, Lani darling, let's find you something daring to wear for the night."
