Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

The Sun Also Rises

Dorian had not at all been surprised by that invitation to visit that home of sorts Andras had so spoken of crafting that last time they had dined together. Rather, the Monarch was entirely surprised at the time in which Andras had so invited him. Dorian's nocturnal schedule decidedly well-known and yet, for one day at least, the man was assured he could pull himself from his sleep beside his fiancé to make that trip to inspect that home Andras seemed so decidedly keen to display. Dorian had so assured Sebastian several evenings before that such a trip was perfectly safe and that he hardly intended to be gone long, the man allowing his lips to brush against his lovers cheek as the vampire slept before Dorian made his way to that significant wardrobe to select those warm clothes from within. The Italian man pausing to assure he took both his coats lest Sebastian woke to find he had only taken one and distress himself over the unlikely event of Dorian's developing frostbite. Ah, but how such care delighted him all the same! The Fae King allowing that simper to find his features at even the mere thought of his companion before silently slipping from that room.

It was a simple matter then to meet Charles within the foyer of that mansion, Dorian affording the manservant that address he had been given in turn before following the man outside to seat himself in that comfortable black town car. The journey in itself a decidedly uneventful one and yet Dorian was pleasantly surprised to find Troy outside that home in turn. How pleasant it might be to meet the entirety of that court Andras had taken to gathering. Dorian entirely pleased to see that Troy had so taken up his own advice and found place within that group. Surely the support of a Monarchy was better than none when a child was expected so soon? Dorian inclined to find himself hopeful that Andras would prove to be all Dorian suspected he could be and indeed- all he had so suggested to Troy he would be in time. The Fae King slipped easily from that town car then, his coat pulled tighter against himself as he moved to eye Troy's own car a moment. Dorian quite assured he had never seen anything like it and yet- cars were still something of a marvel to the ancient Fae. The modern world, largely, still baffling to him in every regard even despite the progress he had made in navigating it. The sudden rev of that engine seeing him jolt in surprise. That car seemed terribly cross. Dorian so finding himself eyeing it almost warily a moment as Troy stepped from it, his head nodded by way of greeting before that query as to whether or not he was ready so drew his attention.

"I quite think so. Truthfully I suspect it might be a lunch of some sort and a house tour- little more."

It was perhaps, a distinct display of the Monarch's age in that moment as those accented lyrics were offered. Dorian entirely the product of a time in which any social gathering was situated around a meal or a drink of some sort before there was some exchange of pleasant conversation and a return home. The Fae King decidedly oblivious to the truth of that afternoon in any sense. That query as to Sebastian's thoughts on his being a part of that Court so seeing those silver eyes return to Troy as they made their way toward that home.

"It rather depends on the day as to how he feels about it. He is not terribly opposed. If he were I would not be here. He feels much as I do- that it is important to spend some time with one's species. He himself is part of a vampire coven. We do, on occasion, partake of activities outside one another- if you can believe it."

That soft hint of amusement so found his teasing words then, Dorian allowing one eye to lift ever so slightly as that soft chuckle found his throat. There were, after all, so very few Fae left in the world, let alone in this city that surely it was beneficial to some extent for them to spend time with one another. His own hands folded neatly behind his back then as he waited, the very epitome of polite beside Troy, for that door to open. Dorian allowing that smile to grace his lips then at the sight of Andras once more. He had hardly anticipated to find another behind the man, that surprise touching his features as Andras offered that introduction then, his gaze resting upon that petite Fae woman with raven hair and distinctly oriental features. The girl seeming to shrink further behind Andras as Troy offered his own introduction, that reluctance to take his hand hardly unnoticed by the Monarch. Dorian rather unsurprised in turn. After all- he himself hardly understood this manner of hand shaking. It seemed positively bizarre to him. This Navi, perhaps, inclined to think the same. Dorian making no attempt to reach for her in turn as his own head merely dipped in that more traditional greeting, that warm simper upon his features as she queried his name. What a perfectly curious thing to ask after.

"It is a pleasure Navi, as Andras said, I am Dorian. I have never quite asked my Father why he chose to afford myself such a name- though given the circumstance of my birth I suspect, perhaps, that it was taken to mean 'gift'. I shall ask him of it though, the next I see him."

His own head nodded simply, Dorian content to appease the woman's curiosity if only because he himself was equally prone to such things. Dorian's gaze drifting then to the manner in which Troy proceeded to remove his shoes although why he did so hardly found he knew. Dorian holding little intent of doing the same as he moved to follow Andras into what rather appeared to be a garage. This was, perhaps, not quite what he had been expecting of that home. Dorian making some attempt to afford that space a look of intrigue in an effort to remain polite. Why Andras needed to assure they were trustworthy to show them a garage remained to be seen. The space appearing rather empty. That look of confusion surely clearly upon the Monarch's features, a look that only seemed to intensify as Andras spoke of another plane and an ability to portal between worlds. Dorian merely staring blankly at the man now as if he were speaking an entirely different language.

"I don't quite understand, do you mean to say you can....teleport as Matteo does?"

'Portal' it seemed, was not a word the Fae King understood, Dorian glancing briefly at Troy and Navi once move before returning his attention to Andras- only for that gaping black hole to suddenly materialise before him. Dorian taking several steps hastily backward and away from it as if he feared it might readily absorb him somehow- his gaze entirely wide upon it with some mix of utter shock and a vague curiosity.

"What in heavens name is that!?"

That talk of floating and dimensions and splicing was all but lost upon the century's old man. Dorian having only recently become comfortable with elevators let alone inter-dimensional portals. That wariness decorating his features as he remained decidedly far from it. Navi's query upon reality only further seeking to confuse him. Was this some sort of...witchcraft? Dorian decidedly cautious, if not openly fearful, of those black magic's that had given him so much grief in the past. He could see nothing in that space or outside of it, his features shifting into a frown then. His voice suddenly firm and holding every bit of authority his royal blood pertained.

"Forgive me Andras, but I quite simply will not partake in whatever this is. Sebastian would positively have a fit were I to walk into that space and quite frankly I have no desire to either. I've no idea what it is and while I admire your.....talents in this, I fear that this is well outside what I am comfortable entertaining. I am sorry."
