What You'll Find Here

Anacosta Heights
Dupont Circle
Hawethorn Village
River Dale

Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

TRYING NOT TO WASTE MY TIME

He holds the puppy in his arms, feeling the warmth of her small body melt into him. Her soft puppy fur tickles his forearms, the occasional touch of her cold, wet, black nose sends ripples of happiness through his heart. When she breathes in his face, it smells like puppy breath and new beginnings, and he finds himself liking the way that smells and falling deeper in love with this little bundle in his arms, even as her nails dig into his skin, even as she attempts to bite him with sharp, pointy puppy teeth. He already knows that this is the girl for him.

She snorts, the girl before him does, in response to his comment about not being in commercials. And again she mystifies him as another question passes through her lips about keeping fingers crossed. Brows furrow as confusion clouds over his face once again. Didn't everyone know the phrase fingers crossed? Benjamin's own words seem stuck in his throat, again lost with how to explain a common idiom, though at least this one was less common than shaking hands. "Ummm," he says, filling in the silence and buying himself some time on how to explain what fingers crossed meant. "It doesn't necessarily do anything," he says, amber eyes clouded over with thoughts of how to explain. "It's more of a good luck thing, I guess," he simply states with a shrug of his shoulders. Benjamin certainly wont be winning any prizes for giving the best definitions. He feels his arms growing tired from holding the puppy for so long, she may be small, but after holding her for so long, and she wasn't exactly sitting still the entire time, he could feel his arms wearing.

Benjamin notes the smile that slips onto her lips, if however small, and he offers his own (albeit tiny, and certainly crooked) grin in response. They continue to walk closer to his apartment as he talks about how he had ended up in the west side of town before listening to her reply. Again, the words she ushers back to him is unexpected, and quite frankly, a little strange. "I was just walking," he says, almost defensively, before relaxing, realizing she wasn't accusing him of anything. He calms and turns amber eyes back to the strange girl. "I wasn't paying attention to where I was walking and I am still learning my way around different parts of town," he states with a shrug. Hoping that was explanation enough. Benjamin is not quite sure how too tell her about getting lost in one's thoughts, so he huffs a breath of laughter before speaking. "Right, a map, my mistake," he says, deciding to be more careful with his words from this point forward.

She laughs when he asks where she lives and Benjamin figures it must have been a silly question. As she answers, Benjamin gently shifts the weight of the puppy in his arms, who now seems to have began to doze off, her red tinted head falling against his strong shoulder, exhausted from all the excitement she had just been apart of. He does notice though how her statement seems to falter on the word family and Benjamin raises an eyebrow briefly in curiosity, but the dark-haired young man has never been one to pry, rather letting answers come to him. "That's cool," he says, never one for much conversation, being a man of few words, he internally squirms, trying to think of something to talk about as an awkward silence sways around them. "Seems like a cool place as far as I have seen," he says with a shrug. He didn't think Sacrosanct was anything special, of course Benjamin doesn't know the full story.

(ooc: Yes! I am down for some teleportation! Lets do it)
