Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

despite the weather it gets better, you won't do this alone

Such an infuriating woman she was.

Though, after a couple of centuries he managed to tune her out; mostly. There were still days, much like today, that she could easily get under his skin. The woman entirely knowing just what buttons she could push to get him to turn that rage onto her. They had learned in those first years together that they could tolerate each other, much to each other's displeasure. She was the only woman, the only person that could get away with doing whatever she wanted because James simply could not do anything about it. Threatening hardly did anything, the woman finding the threats to be a mere game and the more he learned about Miss Dupont the more he realized she was a masochist which made his life all the more difficult. The man couldn't inflict pain on her without hurting himself in turn, nor could he threaten her with anything because the woman didn't seem to find anything valuable in life.

He supposed he could hold her liquor hostage.

James attempts to tune out her voice as she prattles on and on as she continues to taunt him, up until he is destroying that glass in his hand. A towel is tossed in his direction and he reflexively catches it from the air, those dead eyes of his briefly turning on Lise, leveling her a look that could wilt a field of flowers. "Just go get ready," he grounds out between his teeth, dabbing up the rest of the liquid from his hand as he hears the woman finally exit the room and make her way upstairs to change. That god damn name. Why did he have to explode on her the first time she used it? The woman now using it only to push him over that edge. There were days when he thought that the vampire wanted him to follow through on his threats. And there were days when he truly thought about it, he wouldn't even mind the pain he would inflict on himself!

The sound of her footsteps on the stairs bring James from his thoughts as he pulls himself to a standing position, his emotionless features glancing at the woman now garbed in a dress that clung tightly to her. There might had been a time when he would have appreciated her womanly figure but now it was nothing he hadn't seen before and the Hunter knew the woman now which made him even less likely to pursue certain relationships behind closed doors. As he asks her what she wants, her response is nothing less than typical falling from her lips, James merely shrugging as he follows behind her, hands clasped behind his back as those workers open the doors to reveal their vehicle. They glide down the steps together and before they know it they are both sitting in the car, the leather seats comfortable as he reaches his hands up to grip the steering wheel.

James hardly blinks an eye at the way the vampire fishes a flask from her bag, downing several gulps of it before asking where they were going to find themselves tonight. "The burlesque," he answers simply before they take off out of the long driveway, pulling onto the busy street and following the traffic downtown. It doesn't take them long to reach their destination, James not bothering to make small talk within that vehicle as he puts up with the way Lise tinkers with the radio, going so far as to crank the music as she continues to drink from that flask. Perhaps his patience was returning for the night, merely because he knew he would be able to release this pent up frustration of not being able to hurt something. Before long, they are pulling in front of the burlesque, James parking the car, he steps out of the vehicle, waiting only long enough for the woman to do the same. Allowing that feigned politeness to enter his features, he lets that pleasant smile adorn his lips as he offers an arm to Lise.

A game they allows played when they went out, James allows the well mannered gentleman as they begin their hunt. Tugging the taller woman inside, they are led to a private booth in the corner, perfect for watching the rest of the tables sprawled out before them, the stage full of half naked dancers. As they take a seat and the waitress asks for their order, James merely smiles at the worker, "A bourbon will be fine for me and whatever the lady is having," he says politely. After Lise orders her drink, James settles back into his chair, a leg crossing over the other as his eyes begin to travel the crowd slowly. "So, do you see anything appetizing?"
