Hawethorn Village

Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

panicking on the inside Amelia

Dorian seemed to agree with Amelia that the baby seemed to be a vampire in the making and even if Troy had held out slight hope to hold a baby fae in his arms, he knew that he would love the child no matter what it was. Perhaps there was a time that he would have cringed at the idea of a vampire being born. In fact, he might have been at the head of anyone who wanted to stop that very thing from happening, sure that it would be an abomination to bring on the end of the world as they knew it. But Amelia had changed so many things for Troy, his distaste for vampires chief among them. He would hold the child and love him or her no matter what because they were a part of her. He nodded in response to Dorian, unable to think of words better than that. Dorian then pulled out his phone to show off photos of their adopted puppy and Troy's eyes lit up at the sight. Dorian brought up the teething phase and Troy chuckled at the idea of the puppy chewing up socks and chair legs. Sebastian added on that the puppy had chewed up four pairs so far and he smirked, glad to hear they had found something to raise together.

Amelia soon became his full focus though as the contractions got worse and even as she tried to assure everyone it was okay, Troy knew these weren't like the other pains she'd had in the past. Dorian was the first to voice his concern, asking if the physician was close by, even volunteering his own security to get them if need be. He offered for dinner another night and Troy's eyes were his only way to show gratitude to the other fae at his offers because he couldn't find his voice around holding up Amelia and praying that everything was okay with her and the baby. Meanwhile she looked up at him and told him she couldn't go to the hospital and he shook his head. "I know that. Sorry, just the usual response to this kind of stuff. You're right, love. No hospital. We need your doctor." He would have never actually tried to take her into a hospital. He'd worked too hard to keep this pregnancy secret just to announce it to the world by bringing her to a human hospital. It's not like her bloodwork or the baby's would be normal.

He scowled in concern as she told Dorian that her doctor was close but wasn't needed yet. He gingerly let his hand caress her stomach, hoping somehow to calm the baby by touching it. She seemed so calm for having never been pregnant before. He was freaking the fuck out, meanwhile. She even tried to not cancel dinner, saying the baby wasn't about to hit the floor. His brows furrowed. "I think it's going to be hard to eat, let alone host, with the contractions so close together, love. We can have dinner another time." Even though his voice was soft, there was a tone of finality to it he'd hope she'd catch onto. He wasn't about to risk her or the baby just for a silly dinner. He wouldn't hear of it. She went to move again and then grabbed for her stomach and he made sure to keep holding her up, not about to let her hit the floor in pain. Finally she conceded about dinner and he nodded in agreement, turning his head to Dorian and Sebastian, sure that they understood. "Sound good? I'll call to make sure you can make it."

He knew they both had a busy life of their own around the paparazzi and wedding planning. He didn't want them to think that was any less important than what they were going through right now. When her fingers touched his cheek, his gaze snapped back to hers, trying to read her expression for all its worth as she told him to call the doctor and let her know labor has started. He swallowed, not sure he wanted to tell her not to hurry cause he might hyperventilate and crash before she got here at that rate. Then she told him she'd be upstairs. His eyes intensified again. "I'll help you." He didn't leave any room for arguments as he continued to hold onto her, ready to pick her up and carry her up the stairs if he needed to. She had to pause and reach for Dorian and Sebastian first though, thanking them for coming and letting them know to get a plate to go. Troy watched as the cook bustled in about that time, handing each a covered plate like he'd been listening as the butler stepped forward to show them out. Troy smiled softly. He could see the concern in their eyes as they glanced at Amelia. It was clear how much they cared about her, boss or not.

As Amelia went to walk past, he went with her to keep her held up while she maneuvered the stairs. He was patient, giving her time to rest between steps cause he could see the pain etched on her beautiful features. When she reached the bathroom, he helped her remove her clothes and shoes, for once not thinking darker thoughts as he put them off to the side and helped her into the bathtub. She was so stubborn, stopping to light candles and put in oil and bubble bath solution. It's like she wanted the perfect atmosphere to bring their baby into the world. He sighed, so in awe of her. She was so strong, even in all her pain. He would probably be panicking in the same condition. He stepped up behind her to help her put her hair up, knowing how hard it was for her to bend around like she used to. She slowly sunk into the tub, his eyes on her like a hawk as she breathed in and out, trying to remain calm. Only then did he pull out his phone and make the call to the doctor.
