What You'll Find Here

Anacosta Heights
Dupont Circle
Hawethorn Village
River Dale

Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

death incarnate & night triumphant

There is a brief flicker of annoyance that races through him as that knocking tears the two of them apart, Andras's breathing a touch heavier than it had been moments before. He reluctantly releases Lani as he takes a step away from her, quickly buttoning up his shirt and running a hand through his hair to make it look like he hadn't just been locking lips with her, although, her scent was going to be awfully distracting, even the shock of her parents' arrival still couldn't chase away her delectable smell. Trailing after her quietly, he stands behind Lani, though he gives them plenty of room to hug and dote on their loving daughter. An easy smile so adorns his midnight lips as he oversees the greetings, Andras greeting Zameir and Ruth in turn. Grasping Zameir's hand, he gives it a firm shake before greeting Lani's mother, his charm rolling off him in waves, as if he had done this a million times. Ruth's comment has Andras providing her a gentle smile, his dark hazel eyes turning back to Lani briefly, a twinkle of knowing so dancing in there before he turns back to her mother, "It was quite by chance, although, I'm incredibly pleased I met you're daughter. You both did a wonderful job raising her, she's an amazing woman," Andras says smoothly, releasing Ruth's hand before moving back to stand with Lani.

"I have to admit, I think I'm the lucky one," he muses thoughtfully, those eyes trained on Lani briefly before looking at Ruth and Zameir once again before suggesting they have a drink and get to know each other. Lani is quick to agree as she moves off to retrieve the glasses and bottle of wine, Andras moving to that table and taking a seat after her parents have seated themselves. Honestly, it was a bit comical to see the large man sit at her small table, Andras being far taller than most people and most faeries, but he smoothly maneuverers his long legs beneath the table, leaning forward to rest his elbows and forearms on the table in a casual manner. Zameir's next statement doesn't wholly take him off guard, he had been hoping the conversation might have been directed elsewhere, yet, it was expected. He supposed if he had a daughter he would be interrogating the hell out of the man she brought home. Still, Andras smiles pleasantly back at the parents, "I work in management for human relations overseas. My work recently brought me to Sacrosanct in search of new employees that would be a good fit for the company," he explains, hoping his answer would be acceptable.

"And what about you and Ruth?" Andras asks, cleverly turning the conversation away from himself. Truly, Andras wanted to see just what kind of people Ruth and Zameir were. Those Fae ears can pick up the rummaging of Lani in the kitchen, his whole body screaming to go and help her and he almost does until Ruth's bright tones catch his attention once more. Turning that gentle smile onto the mother, "Ah yes, I have a lot of meetings I attend and am needed at all hours of the day. My employees are very demanding," he chuckles quietly, "I have to admit, Sacrosanct is the biggest city I've ever lived in, I tend to gravitate to the more secluded areas. However, it does have its perks," he explains casually, his eyes drifting to Lani once more, unable to take his hazel gaze off of the woman struggling in the kitchen. The quick interaction between Ruth and Lani has his gaze returning back to the parents as he feels Lani finally approach them again with those glasses and bottle of wine. Grasping the wine glass with casual fingers, that warm smile plays on his lips as he glances at the woman at his side.

The silence that falls between the four of them is surprisingly comfortable, not as awkward as Andras might have thought. Though they hadn't been talking for long, Andras was rather pleased with the type of people Lani's parents were: her mother, loving and doting and her father protective and wary. All good qualities to find in people and together, they seemed like a good fit. "What's there to do in Willowhaven?" He asks the parents, "I can't say I've ever managed to make a trip there yet, but it sounds like a smaller town that I might enjoy visiting," he muses thoughtfully, his eyes turning to Zameir, "Mr. Rose, what do you like to do? Are you a hunter?" He asks, directing the conversation to the man, happening to get him to open up a bit more. Andras hardly needed to worry about Ruth, the woman seeming to take a liking to him immediately. Though, he had to admit, it was interesting to see a High Lord of an entire nation show respect and interest in two humans. The chiming of the oven rings through the apartment and Andras pushes back his chair, smiling down at Lani, "Why don't you catch up with your parents? It's been awhile since you saw them, I'll get the food," he nods down at her and gracefully moves towards the kitchen before Lani can answer.

He's quick to pull the food out, retrieving the dishes as he quickly serves the casserole on each plate. When he returns, he balances the dishes in his arms, first serving Lani then Ruth, Zameir and himself. Finding his seat once more, he casts Lani a warm look, "It smells delightful," he murmurs to the blonde, "Thank you for having me for dinner," he lowers his tone slightly, his words meant for only Lani though they could still be heard by the parents across the table.
