Hawethorn Village

Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

death incarnate & night triumphant

He's ready for the question that Ruth provides him, asking him where he had flown to. Eyes crinkling with happiness he provides a small shrug, "I've flown most of the world, my favorite being the Alps though," he states casually before their conversation shifts once more and they are finishing their meal. Andras comments on just how wonderful the meal had been, glancing at Lani as she readily agrees, a smile so adorning his midnight lips as his eyes linger on her for a touch longer than necessary before he turns back to the parents. He hides that devilish grin behind a mask he was so adept at wearing making it seem like his attention was on her parents and yet, he was very attune to what Lani was doing, or rather, her scent as it begins to change as he snakes out a hand and allows his hand to travel her thigh. Truly, its almost immediate the way her delicious scent shifts into something wanting, her distraction clear in the way she hesitates on her words. Andras hardly seems to be paying attention to her and yet, his fingers travel higher up her leg, dancing across the material of her jeans.

"I agree," he murmurs only to slide his fingers to the inside of her leg and brush her core for the briefest of moments before withdrawing his hand, that almost predatory look glinting in his hazel eyes as her parents finish up the meal. As Ruth thanks her daughter for the meal, Andras provides the older woman a genuine smile, "The pleasure was all mine," Andras dips his head to both of the parents, "I've been looking forward to meeting the both of you and I sincerely hope I can join on your camping trip this summer," he states easily though without expectation, he hardly wanted her parents to think he was pushy or welcome in any sense. As they all rise to deposit their dishes in the sink, he makes a note to finish cleaning them after her parents leave, the four of them moving towards the door as goodbyes were made. He watches in silence as they hug each other only for Zameir to move to Andras and extend a much more friendly handshake. The Fae accepts his hand in his own calloused one matching Zameir's grin with one of his own, "I look forward to looking at your work," he says in way of goodbye. Nodding his head to Ruth, he extends his hand to the older woman before leaning forward and kissing her cheek in farewell.

"Always," he answers in reply to the mother, she needn't tell him to take care of the woman, Lani hardly far from his mind in any sense as of late. As her parents leave, he can feel the sadness wash over Lani, his arm snaking out to wrap around her waist as he pulls her closer, allowing her to snuggle into him if needed. When she expresses that sadness he hardly answers and instead bends down to plant a kiss into her blonde locks as he merely holds her. He's ready to begin teasing the woman but he hesitates, his eyes snapping up as he glances around, the fear radiating off of Lani a palpable thing. Tightening his grip on her, he hardly gets a chance to scan the area, to see what had made her so frightened. He hadn't scented her like this since that night in the alleyway when that vampire had attacked her. As Lani shuts the door quickly, she turns around and hugs him, the girl hardly ever initiating those encounters and yet, Andras hardly minded, sweeping the woman into his embrace as he buries his nose into her hair, holding her tightly. "What's wrong?" He murmurs softly, worry coloring his voice as he holds her tighter. The man hardly wanting to push the subject, perhaps she was having a panic attack, that darkness igniting those awful memories.

Andras is quick to tally it off as that realizing that, that must have been what spiked her heart rate and fear. He holds her for a little while longer, listening to her mumble into his chest. He doesn't answer immediately, knowing full well that his control was already fraying by being around this woman; for gods sake he had been teasing her at the dinner table while her parents were here, the man having zero self control when it came to Lani. Sighing silently, he pulls Lani away to look down at her, that devilish smile toying at the corner of his lips, "Very well, I'll stay with you," he answers her finally, his hazel eyes tracing her features as he lifts a hand to smooth out the crease of worry between her brows. "So, little lamb, what would you like to do?" He questions with amusement, that predator so rising up behind midnight eyes though he easily fends it off, at least for now. "Why don't you get comfortable and I'll finish the dishes and put away the food?" He suggests, releasing the woman as he strolls back into the kitchen, hardly waiting for an answer as he pushes those sleeves up once more before working away on the dirty dishes. He's entirely aware of Lani behind him, almost as if she couldn't leave his side, her blue eyes trained on him. Amusement flickers through him and without looking at her, "Lani darling, if you keep looking at me like that I'm going to put you on your back and devour you," he states casually, though everything in him is roaring at him to stop what he's doing and take the woman.
