Anacosta Heights
Dupont Circle
Hawethorn Village
River Dale

Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

dance to the rhythm of your heartbeat

How it felt like so much more time had come to pass between the young woman and the fae man that haunted her in every moment she was alone, in each thought that she could hardly keep from wandering to him and the night that they had encountered one another. Had it really been several months already since that pre-dawn hour she'd stumbled upon the clearing bathed in darkness only find him sitting there in the old oak with leather wings loosely draped to either side of him? Since that first moment when he'd towered over her with bat-like appendages flared in silent threat above his head? Since his midnight tenor tones has purred down into her ears and shaken her to her core as she stood before him, so small and so full of fear yet entirely prepared to accept her fate once believed to have her short life end then and there at the hands of the being she couldn't have dreamt up even if she might have tried? It was astonishing, how time seemed to slow down and speed up all in the very same instance. It felt like they had only known one another for perhaps days or weeks rather than months while in that very same breath feeling as though she'd known him for so very much longer than mere months. Everything had happened so fast between them that she hardly had any idea they would have ended up here. Here, it was more than a place. It wasn't just meaning that she couldn't have ever imagined Andras standing there in her apartment tending to dinner dishes. It wasn't just meaning she never would have thought she would have fallen for him, a being she had been told so many times existed only in myth and folklore. Here, it meant all of these things. And to think it had all started with a simple flickering flame of interest and curiosity only to grow into a roaring flame that nearly consumed every part of her mind, body, and soul. What had once existed between them, a terribly common and average human woman and a fae man capable of incredible things with all of eternity to live as he would so desire with whomever he could ever want, it was gone. That intrigue delving no deeper the simple wondering, it was nowhere to be found. Now, in its place, there was something altogether new and unexpected and how Beylani had come to both love it and dread it all on the same singular heartbeat.

Maybe, if she would have known long before now where it was that fate would have carried her, she might have tried to run. Whether or not she might have ever been able to defy that seemingly inevitable gravitational pull that drew her to him time and time again in a way that she had tried to deny at first, there was no true telling. But, just maybe, if she hadn't allowed for herself to get so quickly swept away by those predatory hazel eyes and his devilish smile that only drove her love for him deeper and into something even lustful, if she would have been able to make herself believe from the very beginning that there could never be a life with him like the one she should hope to have with a man one day, then perhaps she could have stopped herself from falling wildly into a love she knew now was only doomed to crash and shatter like glass before it was too late. There was no going back now, though. She'd lost the will to fight against what she knew had taken root in her heart and blossomed into something so heartbreaking and yet beautiful all the same. He would break her heart one day. But not tonight. It was almost enough to make her sick if she thought about it when she was alone in her apartment at night, laying there wide away beneath the covers of her bed as she would try desperately to find sleep. She knew that he could shatter her when the sun rose over those distant peaks in the east, that it was only a matter of time before he told her that the fantasy world she'd made in her heart and her dreams would never see reality. It could happen tomorrow. It could happen any day thereafter, and that knowing in and of itself should have been enough to bring her to the point of agony where she wouldn't want to hurt or cry anymore as their time together became ever-shorter with every rise and fall of that brightly burning star and she would finally find the strength to sever what had grown within her heart and tied her to him in such a way that trying to think of a day without him was unbearable. Yet, she simply couldn't bring herself to let him go, to try and break away so that she wouldn't have to worry about what was sure to find her in due time. He left her wanting just one more day with him, left her wanting to make just one more memory that she would be able to keep locked away in that part of her waiting to be broken. She knew all of this would only end in fire and tears, but in the end... she was okay with this. Slowly yet steadily, the young woman was coming to terms with the idea that one day she would have no choice but to watch him walk out of her life like so many before him had done. In a way though, not all of him would leave her. She would have those memories that no amount of time or reality would ever be able to take away from her. His name would always find her lips in those melancholy moments. His touch would always brush against her skin in her dreams. He would never entirely vanish from her world, if only leaving her in body and spirit but never in memory and this would be enough for her. It would have to be enough for her.

Quietly pushing away those thoughts that always seemed adamant to resurface at the most inopportune of times, the blue-eyed blonde woman allows for herself to melt entirely into him, surrounded by his warmth and his scent. There was nothing else, only Andras as she found refuge in his embrace. So much so that afternoon responsible for the terror which filled her gaze only moments ago was nowhere to be found. It was undeniable that the young woman found new strength when he held her close to him, his touch more than enough to chase away the darkest of moments and leave her with nothing but love and that boldness that he'd given her in their time together. She hardly misses the way that he looks down to her, that wicked smile of his always more the adequate to encourage that impishness in her further as he gives her a casual shrug. Midnight tenor tones reach down to her as he kisses her once more before releasing his hold of her, Beylani watching him for a moment more before disappearing into her room. Honestly, she wasn't even entirely sure why it was that she closed that door other than perhaps to keep from Chika from making her way out of the bedroom only to find Andras and do gods know what when she would realize it was the far man who'd practically roared at her the night he'd accompanied Beylani back to her apartment for the first time. It wasn't as though the fae man hadn't once had her naked body sitting upon his equally bare lap before, the two coming so very close to making that connection where they would become one and lose themselves in those throws of passion promised to follow moments later. Dismissing those heated memories, she makes a decision that surely couldn't lead to anything "good" as she hesitates when baby blue eyes settle over that silken black lingerie she'd taken from her closet in Somnia. She knew that wearing it would be dangerous, but it was a risk she was content to take. She knew she wanted him, the desire stirring the flames in her core as she slipped into that delicate nightgown of silk and lace. Come what may. She loved him, unable to deny those feelings for him any longer, and it was this inward confession that only drove that yearning for him deeper. If that was where tonight would take them, then so be it. I just hope I don't make a fool of myself.

Leaving the confines of her room, gently closing the door behind her, the young woman makes her way over to the kitchen where Andras stood with his back to her. Any worries, any doubts that she might have had were long since vanished as she leans there against the fridge and his tenor tones bring from Beylani her own string of boldly spoken words that has that easy calm previously surrounding him changing into a slight stiffness. He almost hesitates to turn and look at her, but when the fae man finally does, Beylani knows that their dance has begun, her sultry smile dancing upon blush-colored lips as that predatory gleam finds those dark hazel depths she could lose herself in for days. She only becomes emboldened as he allows for his gaze to travel up her womanly frame from bare feet to baby blue eyes before he turns to face her with strong arms crossed over his chiseled chest. His deep chuckle has her baby blues glittering teasingly as he replies to her words, that impish smile growing ever so slowly as she moves to lift one slender leg, bringing her foot from the ground as it trails up her calf slowly, suggestively before lingering there."That might be partly true, although I can say with confidence that chores would be the last thing I would try keeping you for", she counters daringly with that impish smile remaining upon her lips as she openly regards him in turn, all too aware of what was hidden beneath that fitted shirt of his, already venturing to those fantasies where soft hands had ventured over them so many times. Unfolding his arms with that lazy smile upon his chiseled and handsome features, tenor tones send a shudder racing through Beylani as he closes the distance between them and yet she holds fast to that boldness his advances were surely seeking to rattle. That bold smile shifts into one more sultry as she runs her own hand down her waist and to her hip before fingertips brush lightly against the lace trim teasingly."Indeed I did. Does it suit me as well as you imagined?", she purrs softly back to him then. When he is barely a breath away from her, Andras moves to walk a tight circle around the young woman, predatory hazel eyes ravaging her in that little down of black silk and lace.

Returning his administrations, baby blue eyes are content to roam over him as she hardly fights against those desires that begin to wash over her in waves much like they had in the steamy waters of that hotspring on the roof of his lodge. She could feel that yearning to feel him against her, to have her hands freely explore the hardness of those well-defined plains of his stomach and take to venturing over his chiseled chest and back down several times over as if to memorize every carved muscle they could find there. His voice rumbles from behind her where he stops, a sudden chill touching her as his breath caresses her neck, goosebumps rising suddenly in wordless delight and wanting."I'm surprised you did not ask me to try it on for you in Somnia", she teases him easily, turning her head only slightly so that she could just barely see Andras from the corner of her gaze. He leans in, suddenly taking her ear lobe between his lips as he nibbled gently. It has her entire body reeling as it silently craves for more, and yet it is hardly a moment longer before she can feel his arms wrap around her, strong hands upon the silken fabric drapes over her hips as he pulls her against him. She places her own hand over his, that sultry smile still dancing over her lips as her heart quickens when his lips kiss gently at the skin of her neck, bringing that other hand of hers to reach up and wrap around his the back of his own neck as if to say "please don't stop" as he sends her desire climbing ever higher. He murmurs into her skin as a lover would as he teases her before his lips are brushing against her bare shoulder. That question falls from Andras then, taking her back to that day in her cabin when he'd whispered it to her for the first time. Letting her hand fall from his neck and the other removing from its place over his own, Beylani shifts in his hold so that now her front is pressed against his, baby blue eyes illuminated with wanting melding with those predatory hazel depths. Again, one hand slides slowly over his chest before fingertips rest around his neck once again as the other moves to those buttons of his shirt."Hmmm... What do I want....", she whispers sultrily as baby blue eyes fall to his lips for a moment before returning to find his gaze once more. Suddenly, slender fingers unhinged that first button before dealing the same fate to the second... third... fourth... His shirt is halfway undone now and she boldly moves her hand to caress the sunkissed bare skin of his chest."I want you... Andras", she purrs gently in yearning up to the fae man then, thick lashes blinking slowly over baby blue alive with that same desire that had burned so fiercely within her beneath those stars as steam rose up into the cold winter air, veiling them from the night when everything else faded away and nothing else mattered but the taste of the others lips.
