Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

living like we're renegades

long live the pioneers
rebels and mutineers

Normally she wasn't so abrasive. Well, that's not entirely true. She has always lacked tact when it came to certain more... delicate situations, but it was something she worked at and perhaps if she hadn't been slightly sleep deprived and more than a little cranky it wouldn't have been quite so bad. As it were the entire situation had reached a definite boiling point. Maybe it's just a survival instinct. She notices the confusion followed by anger on his face, even if she hadn't she could scent it just as tangibly. Her eyebrows raise slightly as he leaps into a tirade, his words hurried even as his face flushed with irritation. So it was his other neighbor that was ultimately the instigator of the entire, unfortunate situation. She did, however, have to admit she admired the fact that not one during the entire rant did his eyes drop from hers.

Eye contact is a predatory thing. Had he dropped his gaze or looked away it would have told her just as much about him as the fact that he didn't. Her body relaxes, delicately rocking back onto her heels as her slender hands came to rest on her hips. Despite the severity of the entire situation she couldn't help the quiet laugh that fell from her lips. Still he seems to recover from his own outburst, a sigh that almost sounded conciliatory seeming to break the tension before he started again. This time she does truly laugh, a smile crossing her features that while genuine still had an underlayment of dangerous voraciousness.

His question hung in the air around t hem like a loaded gun, and for a moment she just held his gaze with that same smile. Pushing forward she leaned in closer to him, as if she might tell him a secret before whispering, "Hold that thought" just loud enough for him to hear above the cacophony next door and disappearing down the corridor. From his vantage point he may not have seen much, though he could well have heard the pounding of her fist on the door, raised voices and what may have been a few growls before the music volume dropped dramatically and a door slammed.

In a flash she was before him again, the same grin on her pink lips. "I actually don't have any cookies, but if you do that would be great!" With the neighbor silenced the twang of her voice can finally be heard. For a moment she stoops down, scooping up Grayson and looking back to him expectantly. "Oh and milk if ya have it!"
