Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

The pack has decided to move again. As alpha female, I get to pick the pace but it doesn't mean I have to like it. Understand it, yet. Without the alpha male's dumbed down explanation, I know that food has been running low. Prey animals are growing scarce where we are now and we have new pups to think about. Not mine, mind you. I'm no breeding cow, though the alpha male would wish differently. Every breeding season, he's following me around like a lost puppy. Luckily he knows what I do to coyotes that get under my skin so he doesn't push too hard. It's not like he's not getting what he wants elsewhere. He has almost a whole pack of females all to himself. We've easily grown into the largest coyote pack around and we've got the territory to show for it.

When I first met Caeser, as I like to call him, he had two females with him and they were the filthiest creatures I'd ever laid eyes on. Skin and bones, they were lowest of the low on the scavenging list. They didn't even have the strength to fight off vultures from their meals. I reluctantly joined them because my own pack had decided I was growing too strong and too smart for their own good. The alpha female saw me as a threat though she knew better than to act on it. She'd seen me fight my way up from Omega and she saw the damage I could do. I always knew I was different from the other coyotes. Less feral, more...intelligent. I can understand them and they can understand me but something in the way our minds process is completely foreign.

Of course this is the only life I've ever known so I stick with it. I joined Caeser and his pack of misfits and when I became his alpha female, we started really living. I taught them how to hunt instead of scavenging and word got around that our pack was pretty powerful. Our numbers grew fast and with that, I was able to target larger prey. Though a lot smaller than our wolf counterparts, we were fast and agile and able to get away from hooves and horns quicker so less injuries. I taught them how to ambush and soon enough we were eating like kings and queens. But as the pack grew, the prey animals either found safer ground or died off in our need to feed more mouths. In the end, the alpha male chose a spot a little too close to civilization if you ask me. He's too stuck on his scavenging days, wanting to get off by being lazy for a little while and sneaking through people's trash. I think it's below us but it's me against everyone else in the pack so for now, I'll buckle.

Doesn't mean I have to like it. When night comes and the people flee to their homes is when we come out. The pack spreads out to cover more ground, scouting the territory while sniffing out good trash to go through. I manage to find a heap of trash cans at the end of a sidewalk and when I smell something that's suspicious of chicken, I don't hesitate to jump up and knock the can over with my paws. I then pull the lid off with my mouth and start sniffing through it, looking for that forbidden chicken bone. When I hear something behind me, my hackles immediately go up, bright blue eyes seeming to glow in the dark as I turn on whoever or whatever it is, a vicious snarl already warning them to keep their distance.
