South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Ascension Center of Equitation

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.
Home of: The Cavalry

Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

The University of Sacrosanct

The young witch awoke with a start, her eyes furrowed as her gaze fluttered open to stare at the darkness of the ceiling. Slowly, she rolled over to her side, glancing at her bedside clock. It as particularly early in the morning though the sun had not yet peaked over the horizon. A small frown crossed her features as she rose to her shoulders, her stormy gaze scanning the dimness of her room. Why was she awake? Something had woken her up. It took her a moment to hear the soft sobbing in the corner of her room, and even further concentration to so cause the specter there to materialize in a shape she could see. It was a child - the girl no older than seven. She had several bite marks on her arms and legs from wounds that had brought her into the afterlife and yet she hardly seemed to realize that, for Serafina, she existed. A soft breath left her lips as the girl slowly rose from the comfort of her bed, that short ebony night gown swaying around her knees as she crossed the room. She had a weakness for children - even if she rarely showed it. "Shhh...it's okay sweetheart. It's okay." She muttered softly as she crouched in front of the child, the little girl pulled back in a startled reaction, entirely not used to being seen. There were several seconds in which the pair of females simply stared at each other before Serafina made an effort to reassure her that, at least to her, that girl was not invisible.

It took some time for Serafina to so coax from the girl exactly why she was crying, the ghost had become particularly shy once she realized she was not truly alone in this world. Still, in the end, it was that simple fact that had been the very core of her tears. She was alone and lost, searching for her parents whom, though she knew where they were, she was too scared to take that path home for the wolves that ran those forests, wolves that, Serafina was certain, had been the very creatures that had killed her. It was rare, really, particularly in the current day and age for those lupine creatures to attack mortals. Maybe after a particularly harsh winter, or maybe the ghost had been floating in that limbo for decades, or perhaps, they had not been simple wolves at all. Either way, by this point, the young witch knew the gig. In order to 'free' them (or a more often greater concern, in order to stop them from bothering her), she had to help them and this meant that Serafina was going to spend her evening tramping through the woods. The child, bless her poor soul, was far too ecstatic at the notion that she was going to have company to bother with letting the witch find proper clothing, practically pulling her out of the house with little more than a black robe and black ballerina styled slippers on her feet. Thank goodness her body quickly had become accustomed to the cold years prior.

A soft sigh left her lips as she pulled that robe tighter against her form, those leaves crunching beneath her feet as she followed the giggling laughter of that ghost child. Her gaze shifted from tree to tree, keeping a watchful eye out and yet, what little wildlife they had seen had been keen enough to ignore her. They had been walking for at least an hour by the time they reached that clearing, the girl near insisting that her home was just ahead, not much further, though really she'd been saying that for at least ten minutes now. It was a peculiar object on the ground in front of her that caused her to pause as the female stepped into that clearing, the ghost child content to run ahead to the other side whilst she so paused in front of that crumpled material. A small frown crossed her lips as she bent down, releasing her hold upon her own robe as she picked up that jacket. What was this doing here? Her gaze shifted from right to left, searching for the owner and yet, she was rather certain there was no one in sight. Hm....well, this was certainly warmer than what she had on. Carefully, she slid the larger material over her petite frame, her name upon the child's lips saw her step forward. "All right, all right, I'm coming..." She muttered and yet, any further step she made was halted by an ear piercing scream - one that might have even pierced that veil between death and life.

Her stormy gaze quickly found the young girl's form as she pointed with a look of horror behind and above the young witch. A scowl crossed her features as the girl pivoted on her feet, near instantly calling to her affinity, that water vapor in the air surrounding her so instantly reacting to her command, condensing and solidifying until a spear of sharply pointed ice floated mere inches above her, prepared for....what the fuck was that? Her eyes widened as she stared at the man that sat above her, her eyebrows raising as she saw the giant wings that protruded from his back. "Shit." The word fell from her lips quite abruptly, the ice beside her suddenly cracking into pieces before disappearing in a mist of vapor. "I knew that god damned spell with shifty but I didn't think I'd summon a fucking demon. Is she with you too?" She inquired, gesturing back towards the ghost child that only she could see. "I thought you were on my side." She commented, her gaze shifting to the young girl. For a moment Serafina met the young girl's gaze, only for the child to break into tears once more. "Oh come on now, I didn't mean it like that..." The witch muttered in an entirely exasperated fashion, unsure of what to do now that she had not only a wailing ghost but now a bat demon....thing on her case. She was so not prepared for this. Hell, she wasn't even dressed for this.
