South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Ascension Center of Equitation

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

Amelia listened quietly as the child went through the list of games she normally played. Most were typical children's games...except the run and hunt. She supposed that was an appropriate answer, though, considering what species they both were. Amelia had only hunted a few times when she was a much younger vampire. But after she nearly killed a man because she could not stop, she had chosen not to hunt or drink from living beings. The only one that she had drank from was Troy...and that was more in a sensual fashion, not to satisfy her hunger. And now that the baby craved Troy's blood, she avoided his blood altogether. It was just safer that way.

She mentioned that it was quiet tonight and Amelia nodded her head lightly. It was rather quiet tonight, but Amelia liked it that way. She enjoyed just being able to take a walk and not have to worry about running into anyone important. She was able to clear her head and enjoy feeling the growing baby move inside her. It was calming.

But what caught Amelia's attention was the fact that she was practicing. Her gaze rose to the shadows as if there were something that was going to pop out and show it's ugly face. But nothing happened. She looked back down at the girl. "What were you practicing if you don't mind me asking?" She was genuinely curious. Maybe she had a new power that she was trying to perfect. That would be a wise use of her time.

She gives her name and Amelia tries to repeat it quietly to herself so she could commit it to memory. Anna-Marie. It was a pretty name for a beautiful little girl. Such a shame that a child had to be subjected to this life. Briefly, Amelia wondered if she had the intelligence and knowledge of an adult...but just trapped in a child's body or if she was all-child with childlike mannerisms.

But before she could ask such a thing, Anna-Marie was asking her if she could simply cut the dead baby out. It had most certainly caught her completely off guard. She protectively held the underside of her abdomen as she shook her head lightly. "The baby is as alive as you or I. It will come out on it's own when it's ready." She wasn't exactly sure how the child would come out or when it would be done growing. However, she tried not to let herself worry too much about the mechanics of all of that. If her power could get the baby in there...surely her power could get the baby out too.
