South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Ascension Center of Equitation

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.
Home of: The Cavalry

Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

The University of Sacrosanct

South

we built this city on broken glass

She was a bizarre creature, this huntress. The kind of woman he had never truly met before if only for the sheer delight that seemed to near pour from her figure. She was a joyful being in every sense. As if nothing within the world was ever truly bad and, even if it was, it was as if she believed her good nature might dispel it all the same. Yet too, for all the young woman's clear positivity and apparent unfailing belief in the goodness of those around her she did not, perhaps, appear to be naive. Not truly. Frost largely inclined to suspect she knew more of the world then her enthusiasm so displayed and yet rather then dwell upon that which she could not change she had so decided to meet the world with her own brand if positivity instead. It was a strange reaction to atrocity. The type the stallion had never truly seen before. At least, not in the world from which he had come with its own brand of violence and torment. Perhaps even Ellie would not survive such a thing and yet his curiosity within the woman remained assured. She was different to near any other being he knew. Her hopefulness worn as a shield rather then hindering her as a weakness. That, if nothing else, was resectable. She was respectable in a way others were not. His violet gaze content to linger upon her even as he chewed upon that treat she had presented him with. His features inclined to remain impassive as several thoughts turned within the confines off his mind. That invitation he was presented with at last seeming to draw him from those considerations off her nature. How strange that she might desire his company. So few truly did. She lacked fear. In the least, she lacked the fear of him that others seemed to find so readily. Her desire to spend even more time within his company so managing to....catch the stallion off-guard. Even as he offered her that slight nod. His acceptance only seeming to further brighten the smile upon her features.

"I will give you my phone number."

He uttered simply, if not cautiously. Was this what friends did? Surely it was and yet he held truly little idea. Friends was something of a....new idea to the stallion. If she desired to plan something with him though, then surely she required a method by which to contact him. Frost wholly content to merely watch the young woman's reaction to such an offer before taking another bite of that treat. The very query on just what he was so wholly unanticipated. That curiosity of sorts inclined to dance but briefly upon his features once more before they were returned to that ever-present facade of near expressionless calm. A hunter whom could not identify her prey was a curious one indeed and yet- given the very nature of the woman he suspected she was not at all inclined to hunt in any true capacity. After all, he had grown up around her kind, he had near been raised by them, he knew them and she was not one of them. Not in the same way. Frost content to query her very skill in that moment, Ellie so hardly appearing put out by such a question as that vibrant blue off her gaze met his own. The woman affording him an answer he knew to be true even without that affinity to peer into the depths off her thoughts. Ellie, he suspected, was the sort of woman to speak her mind rather then so require him to delve within it. Her answer so prompting that fleeting simper to his lips once more.

"You, I suspect, are an anomaly amongst your kind then. Does your family not try to press you to be as a Hunter should?"

It seemed almost...unusual that, if the Hunter breed was potent within her blood, her family might so willingly accept her clear desire not to act as her species dictated. Perhaps they had tried to force such a life upon her already. Those not made for such things would quickly falter, of that he was assured. Perhaps too, her nature so simply refused to allow her to be that thing her family might desire. Frost content enough to consider those very questions with some measure of thought. A part of the stallion.....discontent to consider but any being so attempting to force Ellie to do anything. A part of him inclined to feel near....protective of the girl with such belief in the goodness of the world even if he so hardly knew why. Frost so attempting to press aside such trivial emotions upon his own part. The stallion instead offering her those very answers she sought upon his own work and veritable purpose within life- to some extent. Frost seeing little need not to share the truth off his work with the woman before him, offering some explanation for the Mounted Unit in turn. The war horse, this time, entirely inclined to peer into the thoughts of the woman seated across from him. Those wonderings of bits and bridles and saddles not unanticipated, the questions that turned within her mind and yet did not quite fall from her lips entirely curious. Frost content to answer but one near abruptly- even if she had not so asked it aloud.

"Alexander is a very skilled rider. He does not often use a saddle or bridle when we ride unless we need to carry supplies. Such....equipment does not bother me much though- so provided the one using it knows how. I have had bad riders in my time."

Those words were offered near bluntly as always. Frost offering that simple truth even if she had merely thought such a question without really asking it. The stallion uninclined to leave her wondering all the same. Bridles and saddles bothered him little, after all, he had spent a lifetime wearing such things. It was so often the hands upon those reins that mattered far more in the end. Frost having unseated a number of such men in turn. Much to the disdain of the Unit at large. A unit, it seemed, that Ellie new little off and yet given her lack of interest in hunting itself perhaps such a thing was not truly surprising. The woman appearing almost apologetic as Frost so merely waved his hand in some effort to wave away her concern. Someone in her family, he suspected, would know of that Unit and indeed might readily share that knowledge with her if she queried it. That sudden suggestion that he was proud of his status so prompting that clear look of surprise to his features. Proud? How little.....he had considered such a thing. That near rarely seen emotion so daring to dance upon his features for a moment longer. That very question prompting a true and genuine consideration within the man. He had not been...proud in a very long time. Was he now? How odd that he had not ever considered it. Frost content to remain silent for several long moments in some effort to consider just how he might be inclined to feel. Those words, when they came, chosen with distinct care.

"I am.....proud of....how far I have come and of what I am now. Yes."

Hmm. That very realisation was perhaps the first he had ever made. Frost inclined to...enjoy that position he had found himself in with Alexander beside him. Even if he had failed, until this moment, to truly consider it. His gaze lifted to Ellie once more if only to query that book she was holding and to steer them away from those very considerations off his emotions. Feelings, after all, were hardly a concept Frost found himself well-versed within. Books a far safer topic of conversation and one less inclined to tug at his considerations. That cookbook prompting the woman to ask after his own ideas for recipes. Frost once more merely taken aback by her near overt determination to be friendly. The stallion a decidedly....private being in every sense of the word and yet he quote suspected the woman to be harmless in every sense. Merely.....determined as no other before her had ever been to befriend him. Ellie quick to assure him his own vegetarian preferences so hardly concerned her. Hmm, that was unusual. Most beings were inclined to mock his enjoyment of those leafy greens. The young huntress insisting she would like to have him for dinner one night along with his significant other.

"Girlfriend. Nadya. I am sure she would enjoy that."

He offered simply if not almost....warily. Frost simply....unusure off how to take that invitation extended to Nadya and himself in turn. This the first 'couples' invitation he had ever truly received. The equine so suddenly inclined to find himself upon unfamiliar ground once more even if, as always, his features remained that near expressionless facade of placidity. His mind turning upon itself in curiosity for this dinner. This was what couples did, was it not? That question upon his favoured food allowed his thoughts to drift from that consideration and onto cream cheese frosting. Ellie insisting she could make more although ideally not for dinner. That fleeting simper finding its way to his lips once more in response, another soft chuckle tugging at his throat before his own thoughts turned back to Ellie in their entirety and just why a woman such as herself might have chosen the life she did. Especially when it seemed that she might perhaps be.....ill suited to Hunter life. That very mention of family tradition so prompting the lift of a singular eye. To damn someone to eternity was a tradition? Hmm. perhaps Hunters had another view of it entirely and yet why they would even consider allowing a being such as the one before him to be a Hunter remained to be seen. He so hardly doubted she might surely hold some ability, with training, more so she simply did not appear the type of being to take any true pleasure from the Hunter life. She was....distinctly different from nearly any other Hunter he had ever known and he had known a great many.

"Would you choose it again? If you could go back, that is. Would you choose to be a Hunter if given another chance to change your mind?"

Frost was so hardly the sort of being to bother with meaningless words in any sense. The stallion content to drive to the veritable heart of the matter with that singular question. It's answer, he suspected, sure to provide him with near all he so needed to know off his knew friend and yet he made no effort to push the girl in any true sense. Those smooth, cool words offered easily despite their relative potency. There were precious few people in this world whom had ever done anything for family tradition without regretting it. Her mention of her aspirations to teach and her affinity for healing so tugging at his curiosity once more.

"There is no reason you cannot teach still, when the time is right. As for this ability to heal- I would like to see some day."

The abilities of others, after all, had always intrigued him in some sense. Frost near curious of how skilled in that affinity his new companion might prove to be. The stallion hardly anticipating that sudden query on whether or not he was happy. Frost almost assured that within the entirety of his life he had never once been asked that very thing. Nor had he ever truly considered it in turn. His features frowning then in a clear consideration. There was much off his life, now, that was surely worth being happy about and yet whether or not he had ever truly been....happy remained to be seen. The very emotion itself near foreign to him. Whether or not he had ever felt it surely debatable. He was happy with Nadya. He was happy with Alexander- and with his pack. Those moments surely existed even if there was still much to be done to correct the past.

"I am happier than I have been in a long time."

He offered at last, those words deceptively simple and yet he...meant them all the same. He was hardly happy all the time and yet he had finally allowed much off his past to exist behind him, even if it still nipped at his heels on occasion. Surely that was something worth being happy for? His attention continued to rest of the young woman before him.

"Are you still close to this brother of yours?"
