South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Ascension Center of Equitation

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

The University of Sacrosanct

The University of Sacrosanct offers some of the top programs in the nation with its outstanding campus and specialized faculty. The University places a high focus both upon educating future generations but also on research to help revolutionize the world. The University welcomes the talent of students across the world to enroll and unlock their unlimited potential. With applications from across the nation, classes fill up quickly.

South
all that is gold does not glitter
not all who wander are lost

Brennan was all too aware of the iciness Sera could wield toward him, he knew she could push him away. He was probably deserving of her hatred and if that's what the midnight haired witch needed, he would be her punching bag. In reality, he did not do the vixen wrong when they were together he was as devoted as he could be.
He knew he was not making matters worth as his jealously roared within him. He didn't like the idea of sharing this rare exotic woman with anyone. But he had little choice in the matter. Could the over confident warlock truly swallow his pride? He wasn't sure but he was willing to try. All he knew is he couldn't have a life without her, even if that mean he had to live with that savage beast that wanted to mangle the man she had chosen. How complicated the warlock's emotions have become, how uncharacteristic of him to become the blubbering fool in all of this. It was never like this before, this unspoken tension, it had always been so flawless between them, their bantering, him pissing her off and making up for it. He was getting better at it too, he was even getting decent at playing the role of good attentive boyfriend. Who would have though the roguish warlock to be capable of such a thing? But none of that mattered anymore, did it?

Even as her icy daggers slip passed her lips, he knew her love of books, but for him they only drove him further into madness. "Its like the information I need is far too.. Its like it slides off the pages. I am out of my depth here and all I have to cling to are to the stupid pages of useless information I will never need." Whether she wanted to hear it or not the Irish warlock shared. There was an edge to his voice, his silvery blue eyes look to the ground. How this woman was entirely good at making him want to reach for another bottle of whiskey, her absence making it entirely worse. She was torture. Complete and utter torture.

His accented lyrics complimented despite it all. "You were always much better with these kinds of things." She was better. Plain and simple. He was a pitiful excuse for a warlock, some would argue a pitiful excuse for a human. If Serafina were a book, like the ones she loved so much, he was quite certain he would be far more attentive and eager to ravish those pages. He knew he would never let their book end, even if she was eager to slam their story shut. He would not accept their eulogy. He fought hell itself to get to her.

Only to make matters worse she called him out on his stench. Bloody hell! Today was certainly not his day. The moment the man had come back from that hell, his luck had run completely dry. He wondered if that was part of the devil's deal.

Brennan had never been a fan of rules, he always made up a set of his own when it suited. Perhaps that's why Serafina was so good at her magic, so good at making sense of those complex rules that never interested the warlock. He was a selfish man after all, but not with her, no never with her.

He enjoyed her proximity even as she ripped him a new one, he enjoyed her spice, her fire. He watches her selfishly, even as she raised her voice at him. He raised a brow as she went on about rules and things being cute. "Hey Sera love, I never signed up for.. all of this. I don't know the rules and I don't really give a good shit about them. I just made do with whatever I had at my disposal. I would do it all over again too.." Her lips formed into a hard line, her eyes are burning anger. Could she see that he risked everything to come back to her? Couldn't she open up her big stormy eyes large enough to fucking see that? It wasn't like he had much of a soul to sell anyways. The slippery cunning man always managed to find a loophole, why should this time be any different? She was burning a hole on a tangent of how much he fucked up and all he could think was how gorgeous she was?

She placed a hand on his chest and god it took every ounce of the little strength he possessed to not to kiss those kissable lips. She pushed him back and it was a damn good thing she did.. for her sake.

He raised a brow skyward, his silvery ocean eyes seeking her own. "I know what else is cute.. You." He said easily, knowing that very comment would probably only irk her more. A smirk playing upon his lips. "I am not enjoying this demon shite either." What would she have done if she were in his own dead man's shoes? Would she have let herself die there? Spend another moment alone, away from the people she loved and held dear?

They trudged on through the forest, not bothering to attempt to be silent. If there was a beast out there, it would find him if he was being quiet or not. His thoughts were eating him alive. He wanted to smack her straight and kiss her.. No he could do without the smacking and just kiss her until her senses returned. Surely his body would do a better job at convincing her than his words. Why was it so difficult to be open and speak about those annoying little emotions. The warlock gave her a sidelong glance, catching her stormy eyes avoiding his intense stare. Her words are like a poison laced dagger, those words hurt more than he was saying. "So it would seem." He paused for but a moment, a deep frown etched upon his brow. He fiddled with his jacket, remembering that the ring that was intended for her was still in his inner breast pocket. He patted it, almost freezing in his tracks as another wave of an emotion he was not familiar with nearly stifled him. He paled. No, he was not ready for that truth to come out of the bag.

He tried to shrug it off, now it was his turn to avoid her stormy eyes that he would be more than willing to be swallowed by. "I never really banked too much on what that bitch fate had to say anyways," It was his way of saying he was not willing to simply accept those words she so easily uttered at him. He stepped on a branch that fractured beneath his booted foot. It was the loudest thing in this goddamn forest, next to his foot falls and their voices and breathing.

They made it to that clearing where the portal lay, he picked up that stone throwing it within the portal, he should have thrown that bloody ring there. He didn't want to risk her seeing it. He half expected for something to burst from that large threshold. But nothing happened beside the rippling of it as if it grew irritated at being disturbed. He watched her examine it, thoroughly, her eyes so very fixated and intent. All professionalism and no pleasure. It was always a treat to watch Serafina work. "Don't get too close.." He warned out of concern. She then returned to his side before uttering what sounded like Latin. She uttered those words so easily, how she pulled that out of her brilliant mind would forever perplex him. He wanted to offer his services, but she was already mid spell and even he knew better than to interrupt her as her power reached out toward the portal. The ground seemed to shift, the foliage and dirt and decay everchanging as though a harsh breeze disturbed it. A red weeping circle appeared around the portal, perhaps at least 20 ft around it, it seemed angry on the forest floor, bloody and foreboding. Runes were etched within the soil and he swore he could hear whispers, vile hissing whispers lashing out in an ancient language he couldn't begin to understand. "Shit." He uttered, brows raised.. "Do you feel that?" He could feel the angry presence of something, the suffocating power from the portal.

He already knew about the blood magic, he needed it to defeat the demon at his own game. "It always seems to come down to blood magic.." He growled at himself. "Well..I could have told you that.. I am already on it though.. Some fairy guy who claimed to be a king has this book and we struck a bargain for it. I have an appointment with him next week. He is apparently making me drink... tea." He admitted to her. See he has been a busy busy warlock.

"Isn't there something else we can do until then? What do you need, Sera? Anything. I can make it happen." Surely he had told her of his useful power.
