South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Beachside Bar & Bistro

Resting right on the beach near the small, locally owned shops and markets sits a bar and bistro with an elegant yet modern interior. There is seating both indoors and outdoors on the back patio where one can enjoy the melodic sounds of saltwater waves and fresh air. The menu consists of French dishes alongside American and Seafood choices and a wide range of liquors at the bar inside to accommodate the varied tastes and cravings of its customers. It is a charming little establishment that allows for those needing a break from the busy city streets to come and unwind.

Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

South

Marcelo could not care less about the rabbit he had slaughtered, it had filled his belly and that was more than enough for him. "Well I'll be ready for a race then," he says, amber eyes hinting at the humor behind his words. Those dark lashes sweep over his eyes once before he continues look to the woman, meeting her own silvery gaze. She then reveals her powers and those amber eyes grow curious. "Talk to animals, well, that explains a lot," he says blinking those amber eyes once more in surprise and intrigue. He wrinkles his nose at her, though this time it is not in the form of a growl, but something akin to a laugh. "I kinda like when you call me silly. It's cute," he says with something that sounds almost like a snicker in jackal form. And then it would seem that it is his turn for the answering of questions. "That's an easy one too, you smell like a fae, and you know, your ears," he says, smirk buried in eyes like amber stone. "You aren't the first fae I have met, once you meet one of your kind you are easy to spot," he says, amber eyes roving up towards those pointed ears once more before dark auburn eyes return to his silvered gaze.

He notices her glancing at him before turning away, as if she could not decide whether she wanted to gawk or dismiss him. Marcelo wonders, vaguely, if she is trying to seduce him, but it is a passing thought. Marcelo lives behind a delusion that he is far more important liked than he actually is. No doubt if he were in human form at this point, an impish smile would adorn his lips. The boy with hair that was normally like brandished gold and dark brown eyes like chocolate watches with a golden gaze as she brings out a carrot, eyes flashing from a bright gold to a dark brown for only an instant as the human side of Marcelo recognizes the vegetable, having stolen plenty at the market during his youth.

He will not deny that he absolutely adores the look on her face as she shifts from the strawberry blonde jackal, to the wild haired boy right before her eyes. So many people knew about weres these days that it was hard to surprise anyone anymore. And how the dark-eyed thief did enjoy giving someone a little shock every once in a while. Those dark eyes watch the surprise and thoughts turns within her mind, entirely enjoying himself far too much in the experience. When her cheeks turn that beautiful shade of pink, the boy cannot help but laugh, dark eyes beaming with the same humor that had showed so crystal clear through the jackal's eyes of amber only moments before. As he munches on the carrot, Marcelo continues to monitor her reaction, the only sound existing is the dark eyed boy chewing on the orange vegetable.

Those same dark eyes lighten into an accomplished grin when she too admits he is sexy, well, sort of. Marcelo knows she may just doing it to make him happy, but he cares none the less, running a hand through his golden brown hair. Instinctively, the dark eyes Marcelo feels his muscles felt as she draws a comment from their toned planes. "I do have a lot of muscles in this form, thanks for noticing," he says with a wink of one of those dark eyes. "You can touch them if you want," he says with a grin, wondering if he can bring that flush of red back to her cheeks.

To her next comment, Marcelo shrugs, dark eyes hiding beneath his lashes for just a moment. "I am a growing boy, I am always hungry," he says, and this statement is not entirely true. Marcelo hasn't aged in over five centuries, but any other sixteen year old male mortal would certainly be a growing boy. Lucky for Marcelo, his metabolism hasn't aged a day either. Chocolate eyes notice her look to the dead carcass on the ground and he quickly covers it with some of the many leaves nearby. He returns those chocolates eyes back to Iliana. "Nope, it doesn't hurt me," he says, blinking those dark eyes. "You know what else doesn't hurt my tummy? Spaghetti," he says, brushing a hand through his tawny locks once more.

Chocolate eyes only widen as she exclaims the invitation to be friends. And that is when he grabs her hand and brings it up to his lips to let them softly brush against that porcelain skin before looking up at her with chocolate hues. Such a gentlemen, sort of. "I would be delighted," he says, that chocolate gaze holding hints of a boyish charm before he releases her hand from his. "I think you can trust me all the time, Iliana," the sandy haired boy says with that foxlike smile.

"My human side?" He questions the woman. "Well, I can assure you, I am the same lovable jackal you saw earlier," he says with an affirmative nod of his head. "And I promise to understand you the best I can," he says with a wolfish quality grin and one more bob of his head topped with sandy colored locks. Hungry like fire, the dark eyed boy liked the way she described his eyes when in his jackal form. "You mean like this?" He asks as his eyes flash amber for a long moment before they returned to the earthen hue he had been born with. "My were blood tends to keep my warm, but perhaps I ought to get some clothesâ€"if I am taking you dinner?" He says, ending it with a question, eagerly waiting for her response. He looks at her with those dark eyes, the bronzed boy does, wondering how she could possibly say no to that smile of his. "I wont even get meatballs, just spaghetti," he says, crossing his heart and closing those chocolate eyes for a moment with a promise towards the woman, a satisfied smirk on those dangerous lips of the tawny haired boy, dark eyes ever so eager.
