South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Ascension Center of Equitation

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

The University of Sacrosanct

The University of Sacrosanct offers some of the top programs in the nation with its outstanding campus and specialized faculty. The University places a high focus both upon educating future generations but also on research to help revolutionize the world. South
all that is gold does not glitter
not all who wander are lost

The word darling uttered from her lips seemed so entirely uncharacteristic and yet he perked up like dog given a goddamn bone. He was helpless in the presence of this witch. It was her pointed response that he wouldn't know high society when if he were in the middle of it. She wasn't wrong there. He suddenly barked a cut off laugh in response her words. "You are probably right. I probably wouldn't get along with that lot anyways." His irish accented words drawing forth from him. "Plus.. I actually know how to have some fun." Those hoity toity parties were hardly his idea of a good time and to be entirely honestly tea in some fancy setting hardly seemed his idea of a good time to the Irish warlock. At least he had Serafina at his side to help ease the whole ordeal, of tea and crumpets. In fact, he was positive she made everything better.

Of course, all the teasing aside, even Serafina could hardly hold back that feminine giggle that wafted through the air, god he missed that addictive sound. That eye roll of hers only prompted a devious grin from him, reluctant to focus on business when play seemed to be at the forefront of his mind.

He received that list of obscure ingredients and they entirely perplexed him. He knew better than to question her, after all, she was the only person in this world who could turn water into wine. Perhaps she could put those pieces together too? If these ingredients were what was needed, he would not stand in the way.

However, as they both went to work gathering the shopping list of ingredients, he was hardly prepared for the creature that burst through with remarkable, silent precision. If that beast truly wanted him dead, he would have been dead already, he knew it. Brennan could practically taste that vile breath. He could only imagine that beasts last meal, he certainly didn't wish to. He could hardly help the thought that crossed his mind. That question of Was this really how he was going to go? Well at least he wasn't alone. He hardly cared to die alone, perhaps that's what scared him most of all in that other place. He couldn't help but wonder that morbid thought of if Serafina would mourn him, even though she was moved on and happy in her new life.

Her very panic and quickness to come to his aid perhaps confirmed this for him, all whilst the recognition of this excitable barking of the beast was actually pleased to see him. It didn't take long for that confirmation that this beast was in fact, a hellhound. His hellhound. The Irish warlock felt such boyish excitement when that recognition that his companion was not dead at all, but here, now! In the very forest of Sacrosanct. HE could barely contain his own excitement, clearly oblivious to the judgmental fashion in which she took in that creature. It was when Serafina brought her fingers to her temples uttering her sheer disbelief. Brennan was quick to reply. "God has nothing to do with him.. He is a hellhound!" That smart ass remark easily escapes him accompanied by that iconic up to no good smirk, he attempted to get up, that hound as playful as a damn puppy. He swatted at his clothing to remove the dirt and debris that clung to his clothing as he stood. He bent the crown of his head roughly combing that disheveled mess of his hair. The hounds bizarre tail wagging in circles, almost as fast as helicopter wings.

Serafina was all business, sternly looking at that hound with what seemed like a grumpy look. "I know Sera love, I know. But can you at least stop calling him a thing, he helped keep me alive you know." If you could call what he was now alive, he was desperately searching for answers to impossible questions and he clearly was not the same Brennan after that hell dimension. What time and circumstance to do a man.

Serafina dismissed them with unceremonious intent so she could begin her work upon that portal. Brennan dragged his feet toward that nearby perfect sized moss clad rock. A perfect sitting rock as far as he was concerned, his companion seemed content to follow close behind. It was like no time had passed between the warlock and canine. The hound burying his head into his stomach, before allowing that exceptionally large tongue to drag across his face. "Jesus Barny, she already thinks I stink and your breath smells as rancid as a rotting garbage heap. Keep that slobbery tongue to yourself. Will ya?" He muttered almost grumpily, but he could barely keep that grin off his stubbled face. He could hardly help it as his silvery-blue eyes trained upon Serafina while she went to work, she was remarkable, truly. He could only hope to be half of what she was, while he thought about it, he idly scratches that hound behind his large pointy ears like a kangaroo. Those thoughts he were lost in sadly shifted so they were a vicious as an ocean.

It was when Serafina started her spell, he whispers to the dog. "this is when the good stuff happens.." He mutters quietly, the hound content to sit at his side, mirroring Brennan's curious look while Serafina worked. It was the show of pretty white fire that caught his attention, his eyebrow pointed upward. Of course, he did expect maybe a little more glitter and hellfire within that clearing. Regardless, Sera worked with such seamless precision and she herself was as spell-binding as her magic. Surely she had to know what she did to him?

"Bravo, milady." He teased, allowing that bravado to roll off his tongue so simply, rising from his makeshift chair upon that mossy rock. He notes that purely judgmental way in which she peers at that hound, the large imposing creature simply looking at her with an eternal inquisitiveness. He hardly looked like the ruthless killing machine he truly was. "You could pet him you know.." He doubted she would be interested, but as if on cue the earth rumble bark escapes the creature. He pulls in the massive dog-like creature like he was his closest chum at the bar.

"That thing is called Barnabus.. Just look at that face.. Give him a chance, like you gave me." His accented words easily spoken before he peeled back the loose skin from that hounds lips into what looked like a ridiculous smile, revealing those massive, deadly set of teeth. He then began a long line of stories on that way home about some of those very tales from within that hell dimension. At least there was at least some good this cursed world he was doomed to walk. At the very least this time, it was completely alone. He resigned with a sigh, a smile still lingering on his lips.. "Okay, lets go." He offered her his arm like he was some gentlemanly knight, but who was he fooling? Probably no one, only himself. He didn't even look behind them when they cut through that forest at least, and perhaps that eerie quiet hardly seemed so severe. Maybe once he got that stupid book and he found a way to close that portal and a way to deal with that demon he could finally life a semblance of a normal life.

Let's be real.. that ain't gonna happen.
