South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Ascension Center of Equitation

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

The bucket dropped on the artificial rock ground with a clunk, resting between Arya's oversized work boots. Her coworkers near her did the same as the spread out around the exhibit. It was time for a training session with the pinnipeds, and the seals and sea lions knew it to. They had already clambered onto land, each being redirected to their appropriate trainer. For this training session, Arya had one of her favorites: a male sea lion named Storm. He waddled up eagerly, eyes darting from the bucket that held his favorite fish in it and her. Arya glanced momentarily on the outside of the exhibit, a smile on her lips at all the aquarium visitors big and small gathered around the glass to watch, listening to a presenter outside educate them on seals and sea lions. When she looked back to Storm, she started the session with a simple asking for his flippers one at a time which he eagerly gave. She high fived his flippers, using excitement and praise to keep Storm interested before she tossed him a fish. Next she used a hand signal, pointing out towards the water which then sent the large marine mammal barraling back in where he made a speedy lap around the pool before zooming back onto land and to Arya. She gave him more fish this time and plenty of rub downs. Until the bucket ran out of fish, she had Storm do a multitude of different behaviors. Once she was out, she gave him one last rub down and freed him, sending him back into the pool with the other seals and sea lions after they were finished with their designated trainers.

After the training session was over, Arya wandered back into the behind the exhibit where the trainers did all their work. She wandered over to a sink, washing her hands of the fish slime but knowing the fishy odor would never leave; not that she really minded as a seal herself. She moved over to a white board, taking a marker and marking off several things under the column that belonged to Storm the sea lion. Only once she was done with all that, did she quickly scurry back to her office area, stomach rumbling as her lunch break drew nearer. There was only a few more things the young woman had to do before she was allowed to partake in her own favorite treat like her animal counterparts, because of course Arya brought fish to eat for lunch. The brunette woman immediately sat down at her desk and began filling out the paperwork she had been meaning to finish all week. It certainly wasn't pleasant, her stomach rumbling in dislike of this activity, but little by little she had filled it out until she only had very little left to do before she was forced to finish and send it off. As one of the head mammalogists, these responsibilities fell on her.

All her coworkers knew better than to pester her when she was working on paperwork, not that she was unfriendly, just that Arya was highly susceptible to distraction. It gave the Were plenty of time to crank out the remaining paperwork, grinning in satisfaction as she stood and carried it off to place it in the office of one of her higher ups. With it finally out of the way, Arya was now finally free to eat lunch. She wasted no time scurrying towards the designated keeper fridge, pulling out the tuna salad she had bought from the grocery store the other day with delight. She quickly grabbed a water as well and began to head back to her desk to eat, but along the way she stopped, deciding instead to exit the back room and into the main halls where all the visitors were so she could eat among them, watch the pinnipeds with them, and enjoy their delight and fascination quietly; it was boring eating alone in your office after all.

She carried her food with her out the locked door that seperated staff from guest, slipping by a few people to a bench that sat in front of the glass at the sea and sea lion exhibit. Amber eyes watched as two kids were pressed up against the glass, completely entranced by the marine mammals as they danced in the water in front of them. There were a pair of adults near by that tried to take a well timed selfie with the seals swimming behind them, it was quite amusing to watch. Arya unwrapped her food, quietly munching away as she watched and enjoyed the others around her. She half expected someone to come up to her to ask her questions because of her uniform, but the people currently by the exhibit were too fascinated and caught up with their own things to pay her much mind, allowing her to eat her tuna happily.
