South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Ascension Center of Equitation

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

It was so very easy to fall into those age old instincts as a killer whale, to suffocate that human's mind that so danced within the depths of the whale. Especially when you were lurking in the ocean, it was easy to let his human mind wander and cause more damage than he could repair... like losing his pod. How he managed to lose a pod of twelve, well, that was a first for the whale. It was a good lesson to learn: don't let human emotions trump his apex predator instincts while swimming. Still, no matter how roughly his mother and father tried to instill it in the shifter, Willy struggled, he didn't want to lose his humanity like so many of the weres did in the pod. Some choose to never shift! The man certainly couldn't wrap his head around it, why wouldn't they want to walk on two feet and explore cities? And god, the food people could make! It was better than fishy foods for dinner every day. Yet, he couldn't deny that in whale form, he very much doubted McDonald's would taste very good.

Still, his distracting human emotions that so flit through his head are all but gone, replaced by the predator he was by the flash of movement. Flipping around, the gentle giant is almost graceful in his movements as his eyes narrow in on a fleeing form. His stomach grumbles, and whether it was in his mind or body he wasn't sure, all he knew was that he was hungry and that seal was lunch. With a powerful downward thrust with his tail, he's sent shooting through the water after the creature, his human emotions tucked to the back of his mind as he concentrates on his hunt. He eyes the seal dive into the coral reef, his body easily tilting into a downward dive of his own, though he pulls up, hardly able to fit between the jagged edges of the reef. Brief irritation flashes through him as he swims above her, keeping her in view only for her to vanish. Circling around, he dives closer to the floor only to find the tiny creature hidden within a hole. With another massive push of his tail, he's sent careening towards her, stopping just before he smashes his head into the rock wall, his massive jaws opening as he snaps out trying to get ahold of her.

Yet, she's far too deep in the cave, and his body was far too big to reach her. Again, another flash of irritation and hunger dances through him though he almost stops moving entirely as a faint voice is picked up within his mind. Stilling, confusion so written within his mind, his massive head turns away from her briefly as he reaches out, searching. He hadn't heard another voice in his head in... oh, he couldn't remember how long! Excitement picks up in him as he turns back to the seal, though he's hardly aggressive anymore but instead, he shoves closer. He eyes the creature again only to be suddenly overwhelmed with such guilt, he swims backwards slightly, his chest clenching in his chest almost tightly and that's when he hears the voice again. Only, he realizes its coming from the seal. It takes him a moment before he realizes that this seal wasn't really a seal, but also a human. Parting his jaws, in an almost comical way, you can see the noticeable horror that settles onto his massive head.

"Oh, my god! I am so sorry! I didn't know... you're a were...," he trails off, giving the seal a little more room, his jaws finally snapping shut, "I almost committed cannibalism!" He practically shouts into her mind, horror so tinging his emotions, if he were able to hurl his guts up in whale form, he imagined he would, "I can't even begin to... I don't know... I'M SO SORRY," he states again, swimming away more, "You just came out of no where, I thought you were food and I was just so hungry," he rambles on and on, unable to control the spilling of his words into her mind. "What can I do? Let me help you, I'll be like, you're freaking big body guard so no one else eats you!" It was clear... the shifter was having a meltdown.
