South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Ascension Center of Equitation

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

I'm about to make my own way, heaven help me keep my faith

She needed to get out of the house. Kathryn had spent most of the day practicing her magic, applying the lessons that Serafina had taught her, and as time began to move on, the young witch found herself growing more and more comfortable with her powers as her confidence grew. Even her newest addition wasn't proving to be too difficult. Wind and fire, Kathryn wished she had inherited some steadier elements, like earth or water. (Though she doesn't yet know that those are soon to come.) Right now though, Kathryn had been praciting smaller, more intricate movements and it had been paying off. She would be lying if she said she wasn't using magic to her advantage, even as she sits in her newly refurnished town home, she notices the window is open and with a simple flick of her hand, she conjures that wind and lets the window shut closed tight, it was as easy as breathing for the young witch now, and quite convenient at times as well.

Aquamarine eyes focus on the candle that sits in front of her, and without moving any part of her body, not even her eyes, she is able to light the candle. She then, with her breathing, she lets the little flame begin to grow, steadily larger and larger, until she can feel the heat of the flame beginning to brush affectionately against her face. Then in a single breath, she extinguishes it. A smile comes to the sable haired witch's face. Finally, she had gained control of her powers.

She deserved a reward for herself. So Kathryn goes to her bedroom and keeps on her pair of black pants, but changes into a cozy grey sweater before putting a hat on the top of her head, covering some of those sable locks and slides her arms into a jacket. It was chilly out there today, and where she was going, no doubt the wind would bring in quite the cold. She smiles in the mirror before scurrying around her room to ensure that she packed up everything that she needed to. Her coven's ancient spell book, she grabs a snack, her phone, and the keys. It seemed with all that had occurred, Kathryn's grandparents though maybe perhaps she ought to have a car. And really, she could not be more grateful.

Closing the door, she makes sure to lock it because Kathryn wouldn't put it past the dark hunter she had met to have figured out by now where she lives. She gets into her little white jeep parked on the street. Throwing her bag into the passenger seat, she then proceeds to put her key in the ignition and all at once she is suddenly driving down the streets on Sacrosanct.

As she drives, Kathryn realizes that she is longing for summer time. When she can put the top down and let the wind whip around those dark locks of hers. But, Kathryn would have to first endure the remainder of winter and spring before the warm summer weather made its appearance. As she drives though, a smile crosses her face. Within her, with her powers, it was almost as if she could carry summer time with her. The fire she could feel underneath her skin, keeping her warm, and the way she can manipulate the breeze. If only she could figure out a way to combine the two, to send a warm breeze to the residents of Sacrosanct. In the same moment she thinks this, an image of a large burst of flames propelled by wind crosses her mind's eye. Yeah, perhaps she ought to keep the two separate for now. That seemed like the best idea.

As the buildings fade away, they are replaced with Cliffside's and sea air and Kathryn knows she is close to where she wants to be. Despite having no affinity for water, Kathryn has always found some sort of comfort from the ocean. Maybe it stems from all those summers spent on its sandy shores with her family. She drives to a remote area where there is a shallow cliff side and Kathryn parks her jeeps before taking the keys out of the ignition and grabbing her bag. The waves crashing against the rocky cliffside provides a relaxing soundtrack for the day. She stands there then, letting the wind whip through her hair with affectionate touches. Silver blue eyes close as she lets her other senses take over. But when she opens them, pointing that glacial gaze downwards, she sees something she doesn't expect. Sacrosanct was getting stranger and stranger. Eyes widen as she stars down at the water and lips part in surprise. "What is that?" The only words that linger in the air as Kathryn cannot quite believe her eyes.
