South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Ascension Center of Equitation

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

The lithe fae child with hair like pale, golden sunshine wears a smile upon her delicate features. Maeve had been given permission to go to the park this beautiful Saturday afternoon. Precautions, of course, were taken. Maeve was to have her phone on her at all times (a phone that contained a tracking device should she end up leaving, or worse, be taken.) Maeve was also instructed not to talk to any strangers except other children. Now, this last rule was easier said than done for the pale golden haired child. Maeve had a habit of interacting with anyone she found interesting, as had been the case with Matteo. But, Maeve's reasoning for that, was she had already seen Matteo, and besides, he was now one of her best friends, and her mentor for controlling her power of time.

This Spring was shaping up to be something both wonderful and beautiful. Not that too long ago, Maeve and Beylani had taken a day to go explore and picks flowers. She had informed the blonde woman that she wanted to make a bouquet for Roman because he had loved her bracelet of daisies so much. The chill of winter was still clinging to the world, but already, impatient flowers were blooming. That had been the very day she had come across her new friend. Maeve had bounded ahead of Beylani, eager to pick some of the wildflowers that were growing at the base of a large tree. Now this is when the fae girl her the faint squeak, it sounded frightened and hurt. Looking through the flowers, Maeve spots a tuff of white fur, so she bent back a few more blades of tall grass and see a little albino chipmunk staring up at her with beautiful red eyes. His paw looked as if it were bent at some off angle and Maeve quickly reached for the small creature. He panicked, trying to squirm from her hands, but quickly flopped over in exhaustion. Maeve brought the tiny thing to Beylani, explaining about the creatures poor limb.

And that was how Maeve met Pip.

As Maeve helped to heal the little chipmunk, the child with pearly locks had found the little creature began to trust her more and more. Every day she would awaken and feed the poor dear. They had found a fae with an affinity for animals who had been able to set its paw back into the correct position. And, slowly, with kindness and patience, the little dear regained its health, until it came time for Maeve to put it back into the wild. She had taken him outside and let him go upon a tree, but the white chipmunk would not leave her hand, scuttling up her arm and onto her shoulder, refusing to come down. It would seem a friendship had formed between the little girl and her little friend.

There were two playgrounds in the South, in the park, and it was strange to find Maeve upon this one today. Normally, you would catch her on the other one, the one with plastic slides and stairs, and the metal made entirely of steel. But call it a coincidence, fate, whatever you would like, to explain why Maeve has found herself on the one playground with so many pieces of iron surrounding her. Now, Maeve knew the dangers or iron, she had been taught that lesson the hard way. Steel, copper, titanium, these were all metals that she could touch, even silver (unlike her were counter parts). But iron, that metal she knew to keep her distance from. So why, she would be here, is perhaps entirely a mystery.

Well, maybe not entirely.

Maeve hardly seems to playing today, instead she walks around the jungle gym with a sort of quiet grace, watching the other children as they ran and played. It is then she would focus on one child as they ran, a little boy with auburn hair, all her energy upon them as an image was conjured in her mind. A little boy with auburn hair is shaky on a hike before he hits the ground. Another image, a girl with a sweet smile and dark hair listens as her mother tells her a bedtime story. A girl who looks like Maeve imagines goldilocks looks like is blowing out birthday candles. A blonde boy with braces crying tears of joy as he receives a puppy. These all come to Maeve's mind in a flash. She knows these are of the past. She knows these are things these children have experienced in the past, but she does not dig any deeper, she remembered Matteo's lesson.

Then she has another image, and she knows it is older, it cannot possibly belong to one of the children upon the playground. A girl with auburn hair grasps her hands upon a swing set in a park. Those legs pump harder and harder until she is swinging forward and backwards effortlessly. Maeve pulls herself from the vision and violet eyes immediately scan the area, attempting to find who could have been the one to trigger the vision. She was not yet powerful enough to look through someone's past without them being in the area.

It is then she spots some red hair not far from the playground. She watches her for a moment, averting her gaze every few moments as to attempt to keep the girl knowing she was watching her. It is when she brushes her hair back that Maeve audibly gasps. The woman was a fae, just like her, like Andras, like Matteo. Well, faes had to be safe, right? Maeve slowly makes her way to her, not taking a direct path, but rather an oval like pattern, until she reaches her side. Reaching out a hand, Maeve gently taps her shoulder. "Hi," she says in a small voice. "Do you like swings?"
