South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Ascension Center of Equitation

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

It had taken several days for the bruising on Edie's body to fade and several more for her ribs to heal completely where she could stand pressure being applied to the area. During that time Kato spent the better part of the day absent but always faithfully returned in the evening to spend the nights within the pack home with Edie. He was certainly torn, seeing Edie hurt and wanting to be by her side but feeling the pull to continue moving. To feel was to lose. Kato had long ago learned that lesson. So today at the first rays of sunrise peeking through the bedroom window Kato decided today was going to be the day to change that...or at least try. "Edie, wake up...get dressed." It was the only explanation he gave before quickly slipping from the bed before the warmth of her body could distract him from his plan.

After, he saw to it that she was fed; this time it was his turn to invade the fridge and cook up a hearty breakfast of eggs, bacon, toast, and orange juice. "You need to eat it all. We have a long day today." He offered a bit of a strained smile as he ate across from her, easily cleaning his plate of all the food. Edie's protests and whines fell on deaf ears this morning. "You're healed now; it's time for you to learn how to fight." Kato dumped the empty plates into the sink before taking Edie's hand and easily leading her from the house. He had spoken to Edie before about teaching her how to fight. Perhaps she thought he had been joking but she had expressed dislike at the idea of training in the backyard where her other pack members could see. Kato honestly hadn't cared if the other girls would have joined...it would have done them good he was sure to learn hand-to-hand since powers failed or weren't able to be used in that environment. What if you were a water controller and there was no water? What if your ability required you to use your hands and they were handcuffed? These were situations that Kato troubled over.

Kato led Edie back to the South into the clearing that they had first met in before he finally let go of her hand. This is where he had been coming each day, when he wasn't grabbing odd jobs around town, to try and figure out just what he was getting himself into here in Sacrosanct. "Ok, put your hands up and your feet square with your shoulders but keep your knees loose and bent a bit." When he turned to face Edie he could tell that she was hardly giving this a shred of seriousness. It caused Kato's features to furrow at her antics. The normally playful man who stood before her was replaced with the same one who had stood in front of her the night she got injured. "Your core is weak. All it would take is a strong wind to take you down. It's no wonder you were toppled so easily." Without any preamble Kato shoved at her shoulder where her collarbone was and though he hadn't exerted much pressure it was enough to topple the girl backwards off her feet onto her rear. Kato stood there stoically watching Edie scramble back up, hardly on her feet once more before he did so again. This time when Edie fell he crouched down in front of her, "There are a lot of things that I can't protect you from. But this...this I can prepare you for." There was a veil of hidden sadness in his tone that was reflected in his eyes when he spoke.

He straightened back up and took a step away from Edie. Kato had spent so much of the last previous night's helping Edie doing everything including dressing and showering due to her healing body. Today though it was obvious in the way he acted that his help would be limited. She would have to get to her own feet. She would have to try. She would have to show him that she cared. If he couldn't leave her side without feeling like she'd die with her inevitable daredevil behavior, than he couldn't allow himself down this path of growing feelings for her. "Are you going to pay attention now?"
