South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Ascension Center of Equitation

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

Kato Buhari

A metaphorical barrier had been broken between the two the morning Kato had taken Edie to train her in hand-to-hand combat. It certainly hadn't led to what he had been expecting- there was no day filled with hard work and sweat but of raw emotion and memories. Well, there had been hard work and sweat after. His heart had felt the bitter sting from the memories of losing his wife and newborn only to feel the swell of happiness for Edie agreeing to go with him to Africa. No sooner had the words left her lips for him to make the arrangements for their travel and her lips met his did he pull their forms back down to the ground and take her right then and there with no care for being out in the open.

There hadn't been much planning done; he had been given the go-ahead and quickly made the arrangements. Edie had been left with the task to explain her absence to Frost which Kato had stayed out of it. He had suggested just leaving the blonde man a note. Either way, Edie was coming with him back to Africa and Kato was happy. He had quickly made the arrangements but due to his limited funds was unable to secure them a flight so had to make the trek by ship. There was one problem with that- one weakness that he hadn't had to divulge to Edie until that moment. He got motion sick. It was something he discovered when he left his home and perhaps it was because he had never been on a moving vehicle until he had left Africa that his body didn't know what to make of it now. As such, Kato spent the majority of the voyage across the Atlantic either hanging over the railing or pale as a ghost in their cabin room. There was never so much relief that washed over him the moment they docked in Walvis Bay, Namibia and were back on dry ground.

The heat that encased them was a familiar burn against his skin, feeling much like they were walking on the very surface of the sun. Kato shrugged off his shirt and shoes and stuffed them into the large duffel bag that held both his and Edie's clothes before digging out a wide brimmed sunhat and slinging the duffel back over his shoulder. "You'll need this." Kato plopped the hat onto Edie's head with a smirk. "You're going to burn without it until you get used to the sun." Last thing he needed was for Edie's fair English skin to get burned to a crisp. "This way." He nodded his head and led Edie from the docks into the sun washed town. It was hardly big by any means but it was big in comparison to many other towns seeing as it was a port. The walk to the edge of town took hardly more than 20 minutes, the buildings thinning out more and more until it was just open space before them with a few roads branching off in opposite directions. Kato led Edie along the side of the road marked Trans-caprivi which was not a peculiar thing seeing as many people didn't have a vehicle so the couple was amongst others traversing the sidelines. Though Edie's pale skin did get double-takes from the natives assuming she was a lost tourist perhaps even viewing Kato as her hired pack-mule.

Kato kept glancing over at Edie to ensure she was fairing ok. He was used to traveling miles on end by foot but was unsure how much the woman would be able to handle. "The herd moves with the natural animals so we'll have to find them. It's the end of Spring but not quite Summer yet so they'll probably be just West of the Kalahari reserve still. Once we reach the reserve then we can shift and it'll be much faster and easier to find them." Even though he was confident in his ability to protect Edie and she was much more capable of hiding within the grasses of the savannah from the poachers, it didn't guarantee her safety outside of the game reserve...not to mention the dozens of large predators that roamed his homeland too. "Do you need water?" Kato slowed in his pace to shrug his shoulder that rested he pack against it. The contents of the pack was mostly water and some dried fruits and nuts for travel seeing as he owned so few clothes and had insisted on Edie not packing her dragging her whole wardrobe to Africa. That in itself had been a debate. No, he was more concerned about ensuring Edie had food and water since she wouldn't be able to find it quite so easily in her Were form as he could out here.
