serafina dubois

kissing death and loosing my breath

In truth, Serafina found a kind of placidity within the finality of what her relationship with Raven had degraded into. She had been displeased for some time about the woman's lack of presence in her life and certainly had lashed out not only at the woman by the Dark Hunter that seemed to accompany them. And yet, truly, this single event brought some sort of peace to her raging water. It was going to be over soon. Truly over and whatever farce she'd thought they had been parading in had come full circle. Her stormy eyes shifted towards her companion, appreciating his reassurance to ensure that both of their presences would be largely absence before anyone came too - or was any wiser. The corner of her lips twitched downwards in thought, momentarily considering the proposition before her. Death was not some thing that grated against the young girl's moralities - not that she had many to begin with. On the contrary, Serafina dipped her toes in the murky water of dark magic more often than she cared to admit out loud and so, instead of offering any real thought on the matter the witch merely shrugged her shoulders, instead choosing to cross her arms beneath her breasts and lean against the wooden doorframe in patience.

Her attention was redirected towards the man in front of her at the mention of Raven's animalistic nature and yet the girl found herself shaking her head in disagreement. "No, Azrael. She is worse than an animal. With an animal - a real wolf, there may exist loyalty, friendship, even if it's propagated entirely around food. It's still something. It's still a connection. She won't even allow me that because 'oh no, her moralities'." Serafina's hands shook in mockery of the woman, her head shaking ever so slightly. "I'd rather have an animal. Azrael, will you buy me a pet?" There was a hint of complete seriousness upon her fair feminine features. After all, it had seemed like a fantastic idea to replace the wolf with an actual animal. Maybe she could imbue it was some sort of magical properties to give it intelligence. It was tempting at least. Still the young witch fell silent only moment's later, fully anticipating for him to deliver her the same harsh no that he so often did.

That was - until he admitted his his discomfort for her abilities. Her eyebrows furrowed, her head bobbing ever so slightly. "I promise." She responded with a measure of marked sincerity. It was a word she would hold true, perhaps only because it had been a simple request instead of a shouted demand. Never the less, the girl remained where she was, falling in silence as he begun his work at healing the broken body of the young female. It wasn't until he stepped away from her to turn around and face her that Serafina made any sort of movement, stepping away from the door frame that had momentarily become her post. "N..." She started, before pausing before the syllable even fully left her lips. "Hm...maybe one thing." Slowly, Serafina approached the bed, reaching out to pluck from his first aid kit one of the wrappers from his gauze. Carefully the girl leaned over the sleeping were to pluck a few strands of hair from her full curly head. Her intentions were quite clear. She refused to be powerless again in the presence of the wolf. Her ability to make voodoo dolls would surely come in handy again if her abilities to break their bond somehow failed. "There." She nodded in firm satisfaction. "We can go."

Serafina turned on her heels, fully intending to part their ways when it was his voice that caused her to pause. Her eyebrows furrowed ever so slightly in surprise before she slowly nodded, "I hope it's better than that pizza you gave me last time." She added, a small quip of a simper crossing her still solemn features. "I believe the term you're looking for is 'friends with benefits'." She added, the phrase coming to her lips all too easily. She had held such friendships before in some fashion or another. On the streets there was no commitment. In the home of her mentor there was even less. This was a relationship she knew how to play all too well. "I would like that, I think." The witch added, clearly far more game with this notion then perhaps she should be.
