i'm not ashamed of my scars, i'm ashamed of the world for not understanding.

There was something completely wrong with this setting and it all began the moment she walked through Serafina's front door. At first it was the unfamiliar pungent odor that caught her attention. Why in the world it would stink so bad with a variety of smells, she did not know, but she held her breath when she entered the townhouse. Quietly she made her way down the hall keeping her breathing short, attempting to get used to the stench, as her eyes traveled over the various torn open books with numerous sheets scattered along the living room floor. On the coffee table sat three different pots with various color liquid within them. Blue-grey eyes shifted towards the fireplace with soft embers still burning as a cracked cauldron held some sort of green goo brewing and overflowing from the boiling cauldron. It was not like Serafina to leave her home in such a dismantled state. Making it to the kitchen she quietly stood there as she noticed that the kitchen looked no better than the living room. Eyebrows furrowed with concern unsure with what was going on and why Serafina didn't appear so alarmed with the condition of her home. Because the first time she had even stepped foot in this house Serafina appeared irritable that she would bleed all over the place. As Serafina turned around Raven cringed slightly not really liking that stormy look she was receiving.

Obediently she took the small cup from the witch and silently stared at shining red liquid. Bringing the cup close enough to take a whiff a gagging sound immediately came as she found the reason why Serafina's house did not smell good. Tilting the small up slightly she noticed how slowly the liquid seemed to move providing her an understanding that what Serafina wanted her to drink would be syrupy, almost like cough medicine. Wrinkling her nose not quite fond with the idea of drinking the contents, but seeing how Serafina seem colder than usual she did as she was told. Taking the cup to her lips she took a swallow and as she gulped it down she quickly turned her head away from the cup, placing it on the table as her other hand held over her mouth as she coughed. The taste was absolutely vile and her mauled face turned pale in reaction. Whatever was supposed to happen, if it was that her taste buds should be numbed then the potion did its job. As for breaking the bind between witch and familiar, well, that didn't necessarily work because in the back of Raven's mind she could feel still feel the connection to Serafina, but sadly her ability to taste for a while. Unable to understand why Serafina was being more distant than usual she voiced aloud her inquiry, secretly hoping the witch wouldn't ask her again to drink another concoction.

"If there isn't something you wanted me to do then why did you call and what is this stuff anyways?"
