when you look into an abyss, the abyss looks into you
Regan has been enjoying her made up game of catch and hold captive raven's tail', when she feels a familiar presence tingle along her spine. Massive ebony head lifts and then cocks to the side just in time to watch the russet lion approach. Viking. It had been awhile since they had last seen one another and that ever present sensation swirls into being with his presence. Damn inner squirmy thing.

The tigress snarls at the invasion of his voice within her mind. It doesn't help that his tone is all grouchy. It seems Mr. McGrouchypants had returned. Regan's upper lip curls back from gleaming ivory fangs as she silently shows her displeasure. Though her curiosity is piqued when she notices that his less than friendly greeting extended to Raven as well. She wasn't sure she liked that. An amethyst eye focuses on Raven for a moment with renewed interest. Hmm. Yeah. She didn't like that at all.

Regan grumps as he slides his length along hers as if an afterthought and she bats his shoulder with a massive paw. A command to pay more attention to her and less to the wolf curled within her clutches. The press of teeth against her shoulder causes a broken rumble of displeasure and approval. For as always she is duality when he is involved. She contemplates biting him back, a little less than friendly, but pushes the thought aside. He had just settled down after all. Biting could happen later. Right?

Regan's attention is just shifting away from her Viking to renew her previous game with Raven's tail when his accusation enters her mind. He knew Raven? They had interacted? She had left him in danger and he had almost died? Her mind wanders back to when she had found him half dead beneath her tree and the obsidian tigress snarls into their minds. Her voice is quiet and filled with astonished disbelief. She can taste the metallic tang of blood on her tongue."What?" She wants clarification damnit. You can't just drop that bomb and decide to fall silent.

She is just settling in to this killing calm when the presence of someone 'other' presses into their presence. Again, this one is familiar. The doppelganger. Her Viking's other half. She gives him a moments glance before her attention returns to the pair before her. Regan feels Raven shift closer and press more of her flesh against the ebony tigress. A sure sign of discomfort and fear. Regan's top lip curls back from her teeth as she tastes the air. Fear. Anxiety and Rage. Lots of rage. The stench of death slides along her senses and Regan's attention snaps to the doppelganger. He is not helping matters with his reaper impression. Regan is already holding on to her control with a fist.

Raven's voice confirming the details has the last of Regan's control snapping. She climbs to her feet and pads silently away, amethyst eyes glowing. she paces back and forth, her gaze moving between them. She is angry. No. Enraged. How could Raven have left him to deal with her problem? How could she not deal with the Hunters? It is kill or be killed. Regan knew this fact a little too well. She was the killer afterall. "No Raven. We cannot leave. Not yet." She doesn't like the presumptuous tone in her Viking's voice either. As if he owns her. She could hang out with the murderer of his family for all she gave a shit. Who was he to question her? Snarling she stalks closer and her voice reverberates with deadly clarity inside their minds. "Someone had better give me all the details. And quick. You wont like how I go about getting them if you don't."

Right now there are no friends. There is no 'someone special'. Regan is receding and something else is coming forward. She is Assassin. She is her packs Enforcer. She wanted answers and she wanted them NOW. As it stood she might just leave them both for dead for putting her in this position in the first place.

"Thinks like this."
