Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

I will

rise up

in spite of the ache

Henry was sure whoever was in the back of the shop could hear the banging he was doing on the door. And yet, no one came. It was beginning to piss him off. It wasn't like he was just your average shop-goer who wanted to purchase a tonic and was upset the store was closed. No. He had to save Sterling. This was life or death and he would not stop.

After what seemed like a fucking eternity, Henry could hear a female voice shouting from the back. He paced, waiting for her to come unlock the door. She was taking her sweet time and it did nothing but make the were more mad. He could fell the change pulling, daring him to get more worked up so his cat might force himself forward. But Henry resisted. No was not the time, no matter how upset he was.

When she opened the door, he was about to bust inside but she blocked the entrance with her hands placed irritatingly on her hips. Her words caused him to huff. "I'll pay whatever it takes...he can't die." While he was irritated, his words were soft. There was love there. Henry wouldn't forgive himself if Sterling died. He loved the man too much to bury him six feet under.

She finally seemed to agree to help and he easily picked up Sterling and the bird and followed her inside. As they walked towards the back room, Henry began to speak. "He was attacked by dark hunters. His familiar was shot with an arrow. I healed them as best as I could...but my abilities only did so much. I can't heal the poison..." He had healed every single physical wound from last night but he could not heal the poison that had already started to course through the familiar's body.

Suddenly his body relaxed and his voice became soft. Eyes were pleading. "Please, you have to save them...at least try. I can't lose him." She didn't need to know about their complicated relationship, but if she was observant, she might see that Henry loved the dying man.
