South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Ascension Center of Equitation

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

Cold and hungry... let's fix that

Bjørn Larsen
I know just what you're running from

Bjørn hums a tuneless song as his frozen fingers lovingly caress the seal brown and cream fur. The cold has stiffened his joints and made Bjørn feel every one of 126 years and as he looks at the cat's ocean-hued eyes, the hunter cannot shake the feeling that he is missing... something. Bjørn realizes he has stopped shivering, a fact that should alarm the freezing man but his mind is too muddled to care. Instead of worrying about his health, Bjørn latches onto the mystery of cat, of how, when he talks to her, he swears she understands him. As the hunter stares into those blue depths, he feels like they are gazing right into his soul. She chatters at him in response to his questions and a smile pulls the corners of his mouth up. The cat hears the strangers first, another red flag that should alarm the usually alert hunter but again, goes unnoticed. He calls out the women, watching as the pair move in most perfect unison to draw their hidden swords.

Even in the fading light of day, the hunter clearing sees the silver of their swords and Bjørn suddenly understands who they are. They must have quickly decided that the cold hunter and the cat are not a threat because they slide their katanas back into their hidden sheathes after a moment. One of the ladies answers, mentioning how she thought he wasn't human. A chuckle rumbles out and Bjørn gives his head a small shake before saying, "No. Not human at all. Not anymore. Although it does seem that we have a lot in common..." His voice trails off as he throws the raven-haired women a wink and listens to her stumble on about the cat. Her twin pipes up to say they will keep watch and Pretty Lady speaks up too, chattering in her sweet feline tones at the ladies and a smile tugs at his lips.

Still, there is something that needs to be discussed with the huntress and after she asks what they are doing out here, Bjørn gives her a shrug of his shoulders before saying, "Probably the same as you two." Hazel eyes glance from the female hunter to the retreating back of her twin and continues, "There were reports of a wild were-dog killing humans. But, it won't be bothering anyone again." A sudden sadness tugs at the hunter's heart and looks down at the cat in his lap, worried that she might think less of him. It strikes him that that is an unusual thought to have about an animal. Sure, they are intelligent, kind, and very loving but they cannot understand him... right? Bjørn watches the way, the feline looks at the woman, trying to comprehend the strange, intangible feeling that settles over him.

He sits there, brows furrowing in concentration as he watches Pretty Lady and tries to understand exactly what the emotion is that tugs at the back of his mind. The feline looks at him, her bright, intelligent eyes bring the feeling into sharper focus. Then, she trills at him and Pretty Lady abandons his lap, taking the elusive emotion with her. Bjørn huffs out a slightly frustrated sigh as his hazel eyes turn back to the huntress, his features relaxing as he watches the cat rub up against the huntress's leg. With that, Bjørn decides the lady has passed a silent test. Animals are good at reading who are good people and who are bad. Since the hunter is too tired to form his own opinion, he will rely on Pretty Lady's trust. As the cat gives the huntress another meow, Bjørn stretches his stiff muscles where he sits.

Pretty Lady bounds back to him, powdered snow clinging to her fur, and Bjørn gives her a chuckle. As she returns to his lap, the hunter meets her eyes and feels the familiar, unidentifiable feeling tugging at his mind. The cat trills and Bjørn gives her a slow, firm nod. Gathering the cat in his arms, the hunter moves to stand, stiff joints making loud pops as he straightens up. For a moment it is painful, a wince crossing his face as his body tries to remember what it is like standing up. The blood starts to flow, his joints pop and Bjørn lets out a relieved sigh as his back straightens out.

Offering his shoulders to Pretty Lady, Bjørn waits for the cat settle before he addresses the huntresses. Deep voice rumbles out, "Well, since the job is done and I am freezing, I propose we take this talk to someplace... warmer. I have coffee and pastries at my place if you ladies would like to join us." A subtle smile tugs up the corners of his mouth as reaches up to stretch under the feline's chin, clearly indicating that she was coming with him. Dipping his head in greeting, the hunter says, "My name is Bjørn but you can call me Bo. Care to join us Miss...?" His voice trails off, leaving an opening for the huntress to drop her name.

Once names are exchanged, he will point toward the bridge and say, "My car isn't too far away. Need a lift?" Bjørn will do whatever it takes to convince the huntresses to join him for coffee... and, hopefully, the hunters can exchange news as well.
