    Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. Although these houses are somewhat small (often two to three bedrooms) they feature back yards, porches, garages and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and for the neighborhood as a whole.

Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three story townhouses, often with a one to two car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces.

in a moment we're lost in passion

dancing with this chemical attraction

Though the Englishman was, quite typically, genial by nature, there was a fierce possessiveness within the man over his fiancé. It was the very sort of thing that quite near demanded, instinctually, that he protect the very soul that meant most to him. Those desires were enough to coax the man's more...animalistic sides to life beneath that well worn veneer of English gentry. He was hardly oblivious to that near dubious gaze Vhalla seemed to regard him with and yet, Sebastian said particularly little of his capabilities to ensure the household was well protected over truly unwanted visitors. Rather, Dorian seemed all too willing to suggest that, perhaps, she briefed his own security team of those vulnerabilities they had missed and, in turn, Vhalla herself seemed equally as delighted to do so. He was hardly surprised, truly. It seemed the exact sort of thing the typically domineering woman would enjoy. Admittedly, Maxwell had hardly entirely failed his role as a guard dog. At the very least, the puppy had near instantly pinpointed the presence of their surprise visitor, even if his greeting was far more enthusiastic than aggressive. He seemed wholly delighted to see Vhalla and, much to Sebastian's astonishment, the woman in turn seemed equally as pleased to have a puppy in her arms. That role of 'aunt' was taken up with far more gusto then he had expected and yet, could such truly be a bad thing?

Vhalla's sudden insistence for a drink brought a grumble from the vampire's lips and yet, he gave in easily enough to that request, leading the pair from that hallway and down towards those rooms meant for receiving guests. He hardly intruded into that tale of Vhalla's absence in their life, as strikingly vague as it clearly was. She was sidestepping something, that much was entirely blatant to the Englishman. After all, how much of his life within Victorian England was spent in the same fashion? With veiled words, half truths, and purposeful aversion? Even so, Sebastian hardly saw a reason to press her on it any further. Rather, the man fetched that very bottle he knew the young woman preferred most out of his own extensive collection of liquors. That exclamation of how early in the evening it was, however, caused an almost curious glimpse across his features as Sebastian moved towards the armchair closest to the cold fireplace. It still took him back, some days, how easily Dorian had embraced his own nocturnal habits. That singular mention of how early in the evening it was surely was evidence of such.

Those blue eyes so lingered upon his fiancé in those moments, the vampire entirely content to simply watch how that smile so lit up Dorian's features at the mere mention of their upcoming wedding. He was hardly oblivious of that unexpected ownership he had been granted of the fae King's palace. Still, this was what marriage was, wasn't it? The sharing of everything? Though he had kept his now deceased wife in the dark of his own properties, Dorian was, perhaps, the only other soul he trusted with those homes that had been within his family for so dreadfully long. Perhaps, he was truly ready for those places to be 'ours'. His thoughts turned briefly away from such musing at the presence of his own manservant, a singular disapproving glimpse was certainly all that was necessary to warn Charles of his rather disgruntled mood. After all, part of the man's role was not only that trusted servant but too, to be a protector when Sebastian was all but dead to the world. Still, the prospect of tea was...lovely. Maybe he'd forgive him for a cup of tea...

His gaze shifted towards that puppy whom had trailed behind them, simply watching for several moments as the dog sought to tug at his pant leg with a request he knew all too well. A soft sigh left his lips as he reached down for Maxwell, hardly expecting the sudden fireball that flew just past him. "Bloody hell." That curse word was muttered on his lips as he clutched that little puppy close, entirely unprepared for the sudden roaring of that fireplace. Her affinity for fire was one thing Sebastian would never get used to, even if Vhalla looked nothing but proud of herself. Thankfully, both canine and vampire settled their clear shock but moments later, the pair nestling quite contently into that chair now that the warmth so radiated from that hearth. That tea cup was gracefully accepted from Charles but moments later as Sebastian seemed wholly content to merely sip at that warm liquid, letting it fill his very core. It was, in fact, that very desire to be filled in on their own latest ongoings that finally prompted the vampire to once again take part in playing that role of host. "We were invited to the absolutely worst dinner party we'd ever been to." He stated, quite bluntly. After all, if anyone could handle a glimpse beyond Sebastian's usual politeness, it was certainly the ever bristly Vhalla. "Our host started to give birth at the beginning of dinner and we were sent home with food in a paper bag." It was, he certain, the most dramatic social engagement either had attended, that alone surely making it memorable.
