death incarnate & night triumphant

Inquiring about her well-being has Andras arching a brow in confusion at her. It takes him a moment to realize she must have been talking about the Dark Hunter woman they had run into yesterday. Brushing it off, the Fae merely offers her a gentle smile nodding his head in agreement, “I’m pleased to see that it helped,” he murmurs to her before she’s questioning him, a flush of embarrassment engulfing her. Chuckling quietly, he adjusts his grip on her hand, merely shaking his head, “You could never make a fool of yourself, darling,” he grins down at her, providing her with that devilish wink of his. As their conversation shifts to that of her clothing, he can’t help but allow his mind to wander back to yesterday, picturing her in that rather small scrap of material. It took all his self control to not shred the fabric then and there. “I can assure you, Ida will have everything you need,” he comments before leading her down the sidewalk. Andras was entirely content to hold onto her hand, walking in silence down the street and to his townhouse. Pointing random things out every so often before he tugs her into the house and leading her to the garage.

The nervousness seems to waft off the woman, his nostrils flaring as he takes her scent in. Opening that portal, he grasps her hand once more, an encouraging smile being thrown her way before he pulls her into that black void. It takes all but a moment before that blinding snow hits their eyes, his hazel gaze adjusting almost immediately before he squeezes Lani’s hand and eyeing her concerned as he can feel her sway. He’s prepared to catch her, yet the woman seems to gather herself much more quickly than the last time and she smiles at him, “You’ll get to a point when you don’t even notice it anymore,” he states before leading her down the pathway and into the lodge. The excitement that is clearly written on Lani’s features bring a a wry grin to his lips before he excused himself entirely, nodding in acknowledgement to Lani’s words before excusing himself. ”Dearie, it’s only been a few days,” the elderly woman chides happily, glancing only once at Andras before he disappears completely down the hall.

Hooking arms with the human girl, Ida leads her into the living room, their trek halted as Lani catches her breath, her eyes going wide in wonder as she takes in all the decorations. Ida pouts, explaining Andras has refused her help as he had been the one that had done all the decorating, though he used a little magic. ”You can look at it more later,” the elderly woman mentions before tugging her up the stairs and into that familiar bedroom, the fireplace roaring to life as they enter the room. The scent of Lani drifts through the air and tickles Ida’s nostrils, the elder woman glancing down at Lani, her brows arched entirely in amusement as she gives the girl a knowing look. “A word of advice, dearie, we Fae have very heightened senses. Whatever you were just thinking of, we can smell it on you. Your scent changes with how you are feeling. In short, we can smell your fear, your happiness, your desire,” Ida explains, a wide grin on her face before setting the bag down, ”I just thought you might want to know, I’m certain Andras failed to mention it,” she says brightly, releasing her linked arm with Lani.

Ida’s wrinkled eyes glance down at the present then, curiosity blooming in the older woman’s face as she inquires as to what it is. ”Oh dearie, don’t fret. I suspect anything you give Andras, even if it was a twig he would adore it,” she chuckles, glancing at the box once more before she sweeps her hand out in a grand gesture declaring that this room now belonged to Lani. There is a brightness that seems to fill the room as Lani inspects it, a touch of wonder so coating her gaze as she glances around. At her next statement, Ida merely nods in agreement, pleased that the human girl didn’t want to change anything about it. Not that the woman minded, she was more satisfied she had gotten the room right as far as taste went. The woman is ready to excuse herself before Lani pops off a question. Ida glances at her, inspecting her clothing before her eyes travel to her boots, a frown adorning her aged face. “You’re going to need more than an extra jacket if you want to go play in the snow,” Ida explains before gesturing to Lani to follow her to the walk in closet.

Opening the door, she flicks on a light switch to reveal a whole spread of clothing, from dresses to pants to skirts to sweaters, the woman would probably not need to go shopping ever again. Leading her into the closet, Ida rummages through the hangers, murmuring quietly to herself before she pulls a thicker sweater and fleece lined pants out. She even rummages closer to the floor to reveal a spread of shoes, ”Here, change into this. It’ll keep you far warmer,” she pauses handing the clothing over to Lani, ”By the way, dearie, all of this is yours, she smiles brightly before following the human girl out of the closet, that gentle smile so etched permanently into the older woman’s face. ”I’ll heat you some hot chocolate when you come back in, I recommend staying in sight of the lodge though,” she suggests making her way towards the door, ”Oh! I forgot to tell you! We have a hot springs on the roof of the lodge, feel free to use it whenever. I recommend using it at night, it’s quite lovely under the stars,” she casts a bright smile at the young girl, excitement so adorning her eyes at the thought of having someone else in the lodge to take care of.
