    Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. Although these houses are somewhat small (often two to three bedrooms) they feature back yards, porches, garages and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and for the neighborhood as a whole.

    Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawethorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three story townhouses, often with a one to two car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces.

It was that damn comment he makes before taking his leave of the bathroom that sends another wave of heat racing through her, igniting her core as she sinks farther into that tub. Vhalla had refused to answer simply because he was right. She had no doubt the man knew what effect he had on her, whether he took any pleasure in it or not… the assassin had a difficult time telling. Part of her was entirely thankful he had taken his leave when he did, lest she make a comment that would draw him into the tub with her. Vhalla goes even farther as she sinks into that water, blowing bubbles in the bath water. It doesn’t take her long before she’s climbing out of that tub, drying herself off and dressing herself in those oversized clothes, the woman traveling down that hallway only to seat herself next to Lazarus beneath those blankets, her teeth chattering once more as her body seeks to ignite that affinity within her once more. She’s aware of Laz beginning to relax next to her, his head leaning back on the couch as those green eyes flutter closed, the woman going so far as to tease him with that name calling she was so adept at.

Truly, Vhalla is surprised to hear that low chuckle rumble from his chest, her blue eyes wrinkling in amusement as it draws a faint smile from the woman. When did things change? Had it been before they slept together or after? The two of them hadn’t even made an attempt to have a conversation about it but things seemed to be a little… easier, less angry but it was entirely clear the two were still trying to figure whatever this was, out. Vhalla hardly makes another comment though as she leans into his side, seeking his warmth, the woman aware of the way his body stiffens in surprise, yet, the assassin hardly cares. Her own body stiffened by the cold but its almost immediate the way she relaxes into him, her head resting on his chest as her eyes flutter close. Eventually, that shiver subsides and the chattering of her teeth silence as she can feel herself beginning to slip away, though she fights hard to keep herself away from that sleep. As she mumbles out incoherent words, she’s vaguely aware of Lazarus’s response, the woman merely grunting in response before she’s dragged under, sleeping finding her quickly, her sleep dreamless for a change.

At some point in the night, the two had lain down on that couch sharing that blanket, Vhalla sprawled out over the top of Lazarus with her head tucked under his chin. It was such a bizarre thing for the woman, wrapped in his arms as they drift off in slumber, the two completely out. Even when the sunlight filters into the room they continue to sleep, Vhalla’s soft snoring filling the morning silence. After awhile, the assassin comes too, her eyes blinking away that sleep only to stiffen within that unfamiliar grip, her eyes darting up to find Lazarus sleeping soundly. Surprise etches into her features as she lays there for a moment, watching him, his face lacking that wolfish grin that so adorned his lips. She studies him for a moment, his breathing slow and quiet, he hadn’t quite returned from that land of sleep and she might have stayed there for a little while longer… except her body had other needs. Untangling herself from his arms, she quietly slips away after adjusting the blanket to cover his frame as she strolls down the hallway, only to move into the bathroom.

Taking care of her business, she washes her face before stripping out of those oversized clothes, that sweatshirt and pants far too warm now that her affinity had returned with a vengeance. Tossing the clothes on the ground, she turns to that dryer, rummaging through the clothes only to find Lazarus’s soaked clothing from the night before. An idea crosses her mind as a sly smile so etches into those lush lips. Snagging that shirt of his, she slips it on, the material big enough to cover her bottom. Stepping out of the bathroom she makes her way into the bedroom only to dig through the drawer for a favorite set of her spandex boxers, quickly sliding into them. Padding barefoot back down the hallway silently, she stands in the doorway for the briefest of moments as she watches the man sleep, confusion welling up inside the woman. What was she doing? Whatever was happening between them… wasn’t a good idea. In fact, the moment Ivan found out, he would make sure to make it a living hell, at least more of one than it already was.

Sighing silently, she pushes it away form now, at the very least she could enjoy it in the moment. Instead of returning to the couch, she makes a bee-line to that glossy grand piano, her slender fingers tracing across the keys before she slides into the bench. It had been months since she had played, the last time having been for Tetradore before she vanished overseas. Vhalla hesitates for a moment, her fingers resting on those keys. Releasing a breath, she begins. Those notes beautiful and sad, happy and heartbreaking as they rise and fall through the warehouse in the early morning light, her face a mask of concentration though behind it… there’s a glow of happiness.
