    Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawethorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three story townhouses, often with a one to two car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces.

He could see the hunger for freedom in her. He'd seen it from the first moment he set eyes on Adelaide. She longed for no walls and nothing but open fields and sky before her. He longed to see her in that very environment, to see her wild and free. He hoped she could say the same. He knew she thought of him as more than he thought of himself and she would go so far as to compare him to the men she knew in Paris. While that's all well and good, he didn't want to just be better than them. From what she'd told them, they were pompous and arrogant. They were assholes, in other words, assholes with money. He didn't want to just be better than them. He wanted to be deserving of a woman like Adelaide and she was nowhere near in the same league as the men of Paris she'd met so far.

She brought up the story of Townsend and love lost and he felt himself grow sympathetic for the man's situation. He knew that Townsend was fond of Adelaide like a brother and that he didn't want any harm to come to her. He knew that was why Townsend was so against him. He thought Taylor not worthy of her. The bad thing was Taylor believed him. That's why he held her at arm's length. Then they brought the conversation around to lighter subjects, Adelaide mentioning them both as children and Taylor couldn't help but chuckle at the thought. She asked if he could imagine what all they could get into and he shook his head. "Oh yes, I could. And there's no words for the destruction in my mind." He smirked, his eyes twinkling. She mentioned darker subjects then of them running off together and his brow rose in amusement, his gaze lingering on her features perhaps a bit longer than necessary before he nodded with a softer smile.

"I could see that. I would run away with you anywhere." He breathed the last words like a prayer even as he took a drink from his glass. He meant every word and his eyes told as much. He could only imagine the mischief they could have gotten up to. He asked after her food when she'd taken a bite and was rewarded with her saying she was eager for his next meal. He grinned, his eyes lighting with joy. "I would be lying if I didn't admit to my own eagerness to share in your company again." He smirked, admitting that he was already eager to see her again and they hadn't even parted ways yet. Something in her face softened before she asked him about lessons and he tilted his head, thoughtful for a moment. "I'm sure I wouldn't have to look very long to find a good reason." He smirked. That look in her eyes was really doing something to him and he could tell the tequila was beginning to work on her own control as well.

She shifted closer and his brow rose expectantly though he held his ground, finishing of his burger and taking another hearty sip from his glass. The moment her leg touched his, he felt the electricity zap through his whole body and he inhaled sharply, his gaze lifting to hers with a new longing even as she leaned back on the couch and started stroking his shoulder. His heart started racing as if he'd run a marathon, his eyes raking over her gorgeous figure as her fingers moved to play with the buttons on her blouse, an all too tempting gift that was putting too many bad thoughts in his mind. Then she leaned in, her chest brushing his shoulder and he exhaled just as sharply even as he drew his gaze up rapidly to keep from being obscene. He searched her face, wondering at her intent even as her fingers moved up his neck to tangle in his hair. He swallowed, his very skin tingling with new life as he looked into her eyes, speechless.

His throat felt parched as she started to speak of payment for lessons. He had a feeling he knew where this was going and with the heat of the tequila whipping through his veins, he hated to think he might not have the same control to say no. "I'm sure I can think of something to serve as payment." He all but whispered in a ragged tone as he leaned his head back into her caresses, his eyes half closing as a soft groan left his lips. It felt like heaven to have her hands moving so freely in his hair. Before he could attempt to straighten his thoughts, the plate was pulled from his lap and as his eyes opened, a new gift found itself taking the plate's place. Adelaide herself. She straddled him and he clenched his jaw, knowing already that his pants would betray him in this moment. Slowly but surely, his hands moved up her thighs to her hips, fingers caressing her skin as if they were glass. She leaned forward then, her arms wrapping around his neck as she leaned in and he exhaled in a contented sigh even as she melded her lips to his.

The kiss wasn't nearly long enough, his own lips seeking hers with renewed hunger before she pulled back to nuzzle her nose against his own. He looked into her eyes, his own glowing with new intent as she informed him the kiss was for dinner. Then she spoke of dessert and he chuckled, his hands moving slowly up her waist and arms to tangle in the hair that drapes down her shoulders. "I crave something sweet and exotic. It's almost like I can already taste it." He smirked, his hands curling in her hair as he pulled her in for another kiss, this one soft but the moment he tasted her lips, he would deepen it, hungry for more.
