Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three story townhouses, often with a one to two car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces.

Abigail Hughes

That quiet little home had become a near frenzy of activity in the month leading up to that elegant wedding. Abigail had been nervous, at first, to invite that small make-shift band into her home, even despite that offer she had extended to Arlo. It had hardly been for fear of her neighbors or out of concern for the perfection of her home. Rather, it was the simple fact that her relationship with Arlo was now…different. She still was getting accustomed to her new role and all that it now consisted of, even if things had changed thus far distinctly little. Frankly, she suspected it well had to do with just how busy the vampire had been of late with his new vampire friend. Abigail hardly minded, however. Quite on the contrary, she quite enjoyed listening to them practice, that perfect harmony the two were capable of creating together was quite near magical and Abigail found she quite liked Chizue all the same, the girl entirely content to chat up the far more demure, quiet vampire when she was given the opportunity. Tonight that hard work the pair had put in would finally come together and though Abigail was excited about that wedding, she was looking forward to that reception even more.

The young woman had put in a distinct amount of effort within their own clothing that evening. Her own evening gown was by far the nicest thing she had ever worn, much less had in her closet. It had taken a whole two week’s paycheck and yet, the girl found herself entirely pleased with the effort. Ensuring that tie remained around Arlo’s neck was, perhaps, the most difficult part of their preparations for the evening and yet, the moment they settled within those pews of that grand church, it seemed he had forgotten all about it. That building was nothing short of astounding, her own hazel eyes content to take in every minute detail of that church that left her in awe. The sight of Sebastian and Dorian had been both equally breathtaking, the men entirely handsome in their suits and Dorian looked every bit of a King he was. It was funny really, to finally see him in that position of authority after she had met him as little more than Arlo’s friend’s fiance. That small nudge she was given at the sight of those crowns prompted a simper to her features, the young woman fully capable of putting together that wordless reference when they had so discussed those very objects of royalty.

The young girl was excited to see the pair of men finally together, their happiness was entirely infectious, bringing a beaming grin to her own lips as they walked down that aisle hand in hand. It was only once the pair had left that cathedral that the congregation began to move that her own hand fitted easily within Arlo’s own as the man led the way out that door and towards the procession of vehicles meant to take those invited to the wedding reception. Abigail was wholly oblivious, in those moments, to the thoughts that had so afflicted Arlo at the sight of her in that floor length dress. Those comments he had afforded her tonight prompted little more then a fierce blush upon her cheeks. Still, she was rather happy to be accompanied to her own spot at that table, those heels still were far more than she was used to, being such footwear she hardly wore often. The were-panda hardly noticed that near possessive fashion Arlo seemed to linger beside her before it was time for his own little show, the girl far too excited by that extravagance she found herself surrounded by. Eventually, however, the time came for Arlo to leave her. Her hazel gaze remained rather focused on that stage as he took that position with that guitar in hand. That initial screeching sound made her wince ever so slightly and yet, even Abigail knew well it was just a sound to test the functioning of those speakers. Soon enough, that gentle melody she’d heard over and over again filled the room, bringing that smile back to Abigail’s lips.

Her hazel eyes deviated from that show only at the sudden sound of applause that filled the large room at the entrance of the royal couple. She watched that line quickly form before them and yet, for the time being, Abigail remained in her designated seat. After all, she’d promised Arlo she’d offer them her own best wishes with him at her side. It wasn’t until several songs later that her newfound boyfriend descended from that stage, those back up musicians quickly taking over to provide both Arlo and his Asian singer a small break. Abigail’s gaze followed Arlo as the man made his way towards her with an outstretched hand, her fingers easily intertwining within his own. That hand-holding had been by far the easiest part of that new relationship, the action almost instinctual. Her head bobbed energetically at Arlo’s insistence that they should go say hi to the newlyweds, and yet, that idle comment of her dress only brought that same shy simper to her features all over again. “Thank you.” She responded much in the same fashion she had the previous five times, though this one included far less blushing than the first three.

Abigail followed Arlo into that receiving line, her gaze trailed briefly after his own over that very food. It looked so good and the poor girl was starting to get hungry too. Maybe while Arlo was busy with his next set, she’d make her way to that chocolate fountain herself. Just look at all those delicious little sweets! Her attention, however, quickly deviated from that thought of food as they neared the front of that line. A warm simper settled upon her features when it was finally their turn and yet, that grin dissipated at the sight of that young girl at Sebastian’s side. She knew that vampire! Her hazel eyes widened ever so slightly. Though she hadn’t been back to that house sense, she remembered well that ‘tea party’ she had indulged the girl in while attempting not to wind up dead like that corpse that had been in the corner of the room. The whole night had been nothing short of terrifying - it had certainly left an impression upon her, enough so that the young woman shifted closer towards Arlo. The man at her side had been the very epitome of safety for Abigail for so long that it was almost natural, that movement and yet she tried to reassure herself that, surely, the young woman wouldn’t recognize her like this.

Hesitantly, her hazel eyes turned back towards Sebastian and Dorian. “Congratulations, the wedding was beautiful and you both look amazing!” The girl responded, attempting to bring back her own bubbly nature. It was the mention of Dorian’s bird, however, that caused her head to shake ever so slightly. “Arlo - it’s not a bird! It’s a griffon! Haven’t you seen one before?” She inquired, altogether chastizing the man in a playful fashion. Even so, she was rather grateful for the distraction Dorian provided her at the mention of those flower arrangements, the chattering on of those plants was enough to slow her once quickly beating heart at that presence of that vampire child. After all, tonight surely wouldn’t end the same way that night hand. No, tonight was a special night and everyone should be happy!
