    The West

The western part of the city is often home to the poorer residents. Here there is a certain grunge that permeates the town from the graffiti on the once cleaned brick buildings to the broken and unmaintained architecture. Crime runs high within the western half of town, making it the home of supernatural gangs of illicit activities. Such activities are rarely reported however, and most residents are distrustful of individual's of authorities, instead letting the powerful supernatural beings sort things out amongst themselves. Be careful wandering the Western streets after the sun falls.

    Noah's Ark

Resting upon the harbor, Noah's Ark appears to be little more than an abandoned cargo ship. Accessible from an entrance hidden in the shadows, The Ark is a veritable Were-playground that specializes in fighting tournaments for all creatures great and small. With both singles and doubles tournaments to compete in, the title of Ark Champion is hotly contested amongst the Were population. If anything illegal is going on in the city it's sure to be happening within the back rooms or behind the ring-side bar.

It is with no small amount of glee that the deviant boy so encourages his companion to go faster well before that car has even left the garage. Tetradore one of the few beings whom was so willing to yield to the boys demands in this regard. Precious few within the Ark were ever willing to drive the volatile leopard anywhere and yet those whom did were so often subject to his continual corrections upon their driving. Their lack of ability to go at speeds he deemed acceptable was perhaps he largest complaint. Tetradore, perhaps, the only driver Tobias would so willingly accept without the need to correct. That deviant boy assured his chosen Alpha was the only truly decent driver upon the entire ship and the only one he would ride beside with complete content. Tobias knowing entirely Tetradore could be readily encouraged to break every speed limit and traffic law if prompted, the shaggy-haired man holding little to no ability to perceive road rules in any sense, Tobias more often than not finding himself irritated with other road users whom were simply not driving to those standards he himself deemed acceptable- regardless of correction or otherwise.

That simple pleasure, too, that Tetradore so seemed to find in driving that car seems only to futher settle the boy in this moment. Emotions are hardly the greatest of his talents, such higher order thinking, such an ability empathize with others often distinctly lacking within his fractured mind and yet so many years at his companions side had provided the boy with that simple ability to know, somehow, when his best of friends was less then his usual apathetic self. He cannot understand why, perhaps he simply does not care, nor care to ask, their friendship hardly based upon those deep and meaningful talks of life others might have. Tetradore simply accepted flawless by the boy in every possible way. After all- he hardly needs any more from the man in, their partnership curious perhaps and yet he understands his companion is…..different today. Tobias simply seeking to alleviate that difference in the only way he knows how- so seeking to return his companion to his usual demeanour by driving that car.

The dark eyes of the boy linger upon Tetra for several moments still, watching the man shift gears and steer, cars one of the few things capable of engaging the gangly man for hours at a time, his mind seeming to find some sense within those vehicles when it hardly did anywhere else. His features frowning momentarily before asking when he would finally be allowed to drive that car, the boy assured it was much the same as when they played driving upon their PlayStation. That he might so be forced to drive a Honda for three months sees a ready scowl fall onto his features, a huff of irritation passing his lips and yet his features remain almost considerate still, Tobias so often enchanted with the idea of ‘deals’ even if he rarely understands them.

“Yes…this is being deal….but….how much days is…..three months?”

That Tetradore could provide any amount of time was surely clear, Tobias holding no actual ability to count, much less understand a ‘month’, dark eyes resting upon the man with faith all the same. It is only as they pull into that parking lot that the Leopard seems willing to allow this matter of cars and months to be forgotten, the bright lights and sounds of the carnival readily ceasing his attention, a grin working its way readily onto his face as he scrambles from the car. Tetradore’s words barely heard.

“Not…to bad….not to…bad.”

Whether he truly believes as such or simply repeats his companion’s words back to him remains to be seen, the gangly deviant waiting just long enough for Tetra to come to his side before striding towards that fair ground. It is the scent of food, perhaps, that seems to attract his attention almost immediately. Tobias entirely capable of scenting sugar wherever it hid, one hand reaching out to grasp his companions arm, tugging him towards those rows upon rows of sugar-filled stalls. That he might be required to pay for such treats has clearly not occurred to him, Tobias reaching out to snatch a piece of fudge from the nearest stand, his theft unnoticed as he slips it quickly between his lips with utter glee (sharing with his companion clearly not having been considered) his attention turned then towards a brownie stand the boy reaching out to snatch an entire box from the table unnoticed, stuffing them hurriedly beneath his shirt until they passed those stalls, pulling the box out a moment later to present them to Tetradore.

Where he had learned the phrase ‘ta-da’ remained to be seen, the boy proudly holding out that box of brownies towards his chosen Alpha now, flipping that lid to eye that collection of treats, features frowning slightly at that faint sprinkling of….green that seemed to adorn the top of those brownies, the boy wholly oblivious to the notation that such treats might not be as innocent as the appeared. Tobias very near inhaling several of them while offering Tetradore his own share of such delight, licking the chocolate from his lips before pointing towards those dodgem cars. Handing his companion the remains of that box.

“Can I….drive that?”

madness, as you know, is like gravity: all it takes is a little push
