    The West

The western part of the city is often home to the poorer residents. Here there is a certain grunge that permeates the town from the graffiti on the once cleaned brick buildings to the broken and unmaintained architecture. Crime runs high within the western half of town, making it the home of supernatural gangs of illicit activities. Such activities are rarely reported however, and most residents are distrustful of individual's of authorities, instead letting the powerful supernatural beings sort things out amongst themselves. Be careful wandering the Western streets after the sun falls.

    Noah's Ark

Resting upon the harbor, Noah's Ark appears to be little more than an abandoned cargo ship. Accessible from an entrance hidden in the shadows, The Ark is a veritable Were-playground that specializes in fighting tournaments for all creatures great and small. With both singles and doubles tournaments to compete in, the title of Ark Champion is hotly contested amongst the Were population. If anything illegal is going on in the city it's sure to be happening within the back rooms or behind the ring-side bar.

It was a truly difficult thing not to tease at those bottles, Tobias so ignoring those shouts from Jackal and the little Mexican man’s efforts to shoo him away. It was purely an act of that feline curiosity, the boy simply unable to ignore them and too- the very act of so being told not to do something only seemed to inspire that behaviour. No other being save for Tetradore or perhaps Raven herself so permitted to demand anything from him. Jackal surely aware, vaguely, that his words had fallen on deaf ears as the man sighed. Tobias’ own large paws sent several of those bottles rolling, Jackal yelling once more before rushing back into that room in an effort to set them right, Tobias hissing at him as his tail lashed about in display of that poor temperament. The lanky leopard leapt easily up and onto that bed a moment later, his dark eyes lingering upon Jackal then, watching each and every mood the little man made if only to assure himself the other man was behaving just as he should in the presence of his mate. Tobias a distinctly protective being in every sense of the word. His head tilted sideways, watching as the man cleaned that wound, handing Raven one of those bottle in turn before he made his way back out and leaving that pair alone. The boy readily shifted back into his human form in that moment, that black hair tumbling into his gaze as Birdie lent over to kiss his cheek, that gesture alone bringing that grin to his lips before his gaze frowned once more. Tobias still unable to hold those facial reactions for the length of time required. One hand lifted to point at that bite wound then, the boy assured licking would solve it. Licking solved all things.

“Ocelot? What….ocelot?”

That this was the name of the small cat had hardly occurred to him, his own head tilting once more in ready confusion. This a decidedly new word for the boy. Raven’s lips returning to his cheek so had a manner of turning his thoughts away from those idle words his mind struggled to perceive, her lips pressing to his own seeing that gesture readily returned as that purring sound coiled within his throat. That adrenaline within his system and too- that confidence from his mate so appealing to that animalistic side. Tobias was a dominant creature by nature, the man responding to those same signs of dominance within his mate, nature alone so demanding it off him. The boy readily deepening that kiss then with a clear desire for more before Birdie’s hand lifted to press against his chest. He had come to learn, over those months, just what that touch meant, that sound of displeasure rising within him and yet there was a certain level of respect he held for his mate. Tobias readily leaning away then, those dark eyes lingering upon her still before that nervousness seemed to overtake her. He was….unused to seeing that reaction within her, at least, not so suddenly. The boy readily searching that room for any sign of a threat before her hand reached to her head.

It was a truly basal understanding of illness in any sense and yet that natural healing of the Were race so assured Tobias’ own ability to perceive sickness was….limited at best. The boy so understanding illness to be akin to a pain or a hurt, his gaze lingering upon her head now as if he might see some wound upon it. His mind so rarely understood that which it could not see as one saw a wound or a scar, Tobias frowning readily before Birdie abruptly stood. The manner in which she moved and walked were unfamiliar to him, his head tilting to the side once more. His Birdie never walked away from him! That lanky boy moved easily to slide from the bed then, following out after his mate through that crowd of people. Where was Birdie going? The manner in which Birdie suddenly moved towards that table saw the deviant pause, the curly-haired woman abruptly shoving another woman to the ground then. That ready snicker rose to his own lips, that hissing laughter so unique to the boy alone falling from him then- at least until that other man so started to shout, that aggressiveness spiking within himself then as one hand reached out to grasp the other man by the shirt. Tobias near lifting him off the ground in that simple show of strength.

“Not…..shout….at Birdie.”

That almost stuttered apology was readily given as Tobias so abruptly dropped him, the man scampering to the side to grasp his girlfriend as several other people turned to stare towards them, Birdie clamouring onto that table before grasping that steak. He had learned, in all those years, just what was acceptable behaviour when it came to eating. Birdie largely responsible for teaching him those things, his mind….confused in that moment as his gaze moved from Raven to that steak and back again. Her words different then what he knew, that insecurity so momentarily seeming to afflict his own frame, his fingers knotting together in that manner borrowed from Birdie herself. Those fathomless dark eyes moved from those people to his mate and back again before Tobias abruptly strode forward to that table.

“Birdie….not supposed…..to steal food. Always say to….Tobi….not….take.”

It was that single lesson it seemed he had remembered, the boy seeming to waver between stopping her and helping her, the scent of the meat tugging at his own animal instincts and yet Tetradore was always so displeased when those arguments broke out amongst the crowd. His own head reached forward then, reaching for that steak within her hand as she so often did for him, Tobias wholly intending to take it. Though whether he intended to simply remove it or eat it himself remained to be seen.

“Birdie…..talking……funny. I do not….like it.”
