East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

i hear the footsteps inside of me
It's the story that Dorian tells about his arrival in this part of town that causes a drunken laugh to escape his lips. The faerie's stories were rather amusing and amused Malek was! "I do not believe curiosity is a flaw, Dorian, we are all born with an inkling of it and it's our job to feed it!" he gestures rather grandly with his hand, knocking over an empty glass that littered the counter from the men. "Whoopsies!" it is such a childish thing that he says, Malek does not realize he's even said it, instead he's engulfed by a fit of giggles, something you might see a teenage girl do.

Yes, the vampire is officially drunk. No self-control. It is then that Dorian asks the most outrageous question, it sends Malek into another bellowing laughter as he sways on his seat and has to grip the counter to regain his balance. Eyes finally focusing on the faerie across him, he flashes him an amused grin, "Ah! Narnia!" he exclaims rather loudly, drawing the attention of the bar tender and the few customers, "It is a magical place where a white witch reigns supreme!" he laughs again, scratching his beard, "Actually, she's kind of a bitch to tell you the truth. She enslaved the kingdom in snow and ice and turned everyone to stone that pissed her off. I don't suspect you would enjoy Narnia much," he shrugs.

Malek was beginning to get a grasp on how old his fellow supernatural was but sometimes it was just better to ask out right, "Dorian, I know it's rude to ask but I'm drunk and don't particularly care if I'm being impolite, how old are you my friend?" he drawls out in that Old English accent, his words beginning to slur slightly, eyes rimmed with red. Reaching for a glass, he peers inside of it. Empty. Sighing heavily, he raises a hand to get the attention of the bartender but instead of waving him down, Malek simply raises his hand as if he were a child in school waiting to be called on. A small grin plasters on his face when the keep wanders over warily, eyeing both the drunken men and the scattered glasses about the counter.

"Sir! Would you be so kind as to pour us another drink?" he slurs out. A pause from the barkeep and a shake of the head "I think you two have had enough," the bartender tells Malek. Scoffing at the man, Mal puts on his best sober face (which is not very good) and reaches out to pat the man on the back, but realized too late that there was a counter separating the two, "I'll say when I'm done drinking, thank you very much!" he grumbles, brows furrowed as he glares at the man hand returning to rest on the counter. That was all it took for the bartender to be calling the bouncers and before Mal knew it, the faerie and vampire were being escorted out through the front day and roughly shoved his credit card. Huffing, he could have easily ripped the humans to shreds, but he rather enjoyed this particular bar and it wasn't the first time he had been kicked out, he did want to return eventually.

Patting down his jacket and brushing his bottom, he turns to look at Dorian with a sigh. It was only then that the vampire realized how much taller he was than the faerie. He practically towered over the man! "You are short, Dorian!" he giggles with glee in a way that was not insulting, simply a statement. Running a hand through his long strands of hair, he glances down at him from the corner of his eye, "Say, you ever been to a strip club?"
