East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

i used to rule the world

seas would rise when i gave the word

It might have seemed peculiar that the Dark Hunter had seen fit to offer a position within his cafe to the young woman he'd only just met, especially considering her age and the stark difference between their supernatural species. However, there was a spark of wild intelligence that laced her irises and too tainted her voice. It was a subtle hint of promise that if Alexander was willing to invest the time within her, he might see his efforts returned ten fold. She had the capability to be something worthwhile and that was enough to cause the Dark Hunter to extend his business to her. After all, he could hardly deny that he needed the assistance and, one day, he too was certain to grow bored of this stagnant life he lead. Perhaps she would be a satisfactory candidate to uphold the mantle of this place. Then again, by the time his interests faded, she too could already be dead. Still, there was little point yet in considering such thoughts, the man offering a small shrug at the suggestion that his facility might somehow burn to ashes. It was hardly the worst thing that could happen to his cafe. There was that one time was blown up by vampire extremists though that was another time and in another city. "Should you manage such a feat I will simply have to build another, or find another industry..." His voice trailed off in thought, momentarily contemplating what said field would even be.

Instead of lingering long upon this notion, however, Alexander paused in front of the dishwashing device, once hand gingerly reaching out to rest on the edge. "This is it." He stated simply, his hand reaching up to tap the tray in front of them, "You put the dirty dishes in here. Do you see this bar right here? You have to pull it down to close the dishwasher and set it down here." Alexander's hand reached up to the bar to show her how to close the dishwasher before pointing down to the small led display with buttons. "It automatically opens when it's done, think that's something you can handle?" He was entirely certain that mastering this simple device was within her realm of capability, now that he'd briefly gone over the various buttons and handles. It was, after all, just a dishwasher. If she couldn't handle this there was no hope for anything else. If she couldn't handle this, then Alexander was entirely wrong with his own conclusions on the girl and how disappointing that would be.

He paused at the end of the dishwasher, the man leaning against the nearby fridge as he regarded the girl and her own comments on Frost and his secondary offer. His eyebrow rose ever so slightly at the mention of Frost being her Alpha. His status, in truth, wasn't terribly surprising, the stallion was hard headed enough that Alexander would be more astonished if he wasn't in some fashion in a place of power in the were hierarchy. What did surprise him was that this young woman in front of him actually enjoyed the company of the irritating creature. Much less the information she'd already previously shared that Frost had turned her by accident. Still, it was not this Alexander spoke on, instead providing her the encouraging word that she needed, after all, if he intended to take her under his wing, it would hardly do well for her to think so little of herself. "Becoming a horse will be second nature to you before long. This transition takes time. It is easier on those born were but you will be a fine mare, I should think. As for Frost, I hardly expect him to stay with me after our goal is met. It is merely mutually beneficial for the time being." After all, Frost wanted his stupid coin and Alexander demanded his vengeance.
