East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

I push my feelings to the side but then you bring them back

In the recess of Nadya's mind she was intrigued and impressed by the fact that Frost could dance, even in this small ballroom shuffle at least he lead her smoothly through the crowd without once stumbling upon her toes. Though she simmered towards the blonde she had finished her lashing out at him in the physical sense. There was a time and place for everything of course. The young woman's narrowed gaze that had been set to cast over Frost's shoulder as he spoke of Edie. Had they been connected she could have shown him what happened, shown him how the woman had called out for someone else and only then did Nadya blow up the plank beneath her, to feel that while there had been irritation at the strange woman's provoking that it had been a mercy knowing that her pack would have done far worse if feeling they were under attack by more than one Chimera in their home. Yet, if they had been connected enough for her to show him that...they wouldn't be in this position right now would they.

Nadya momentarily pursed her lips at that fleeting thought which his line of questioning brought up. Why had he pursued her? "You asked me because it would destroy my brother, it would break the pack, and you like being the stronger one." She rolled her shoulder slightly though kept the placement of her hands precise and light in his and on his chest still. It was the reason that everyone in her pack believed and would have her believe. Perhaps they were right; at least as time went on she felt they were right. There could and never would be another reason for Frost's games trailing after her, every kind word, touch, or gift. No, of course they were silly vague thoughts to have andâ€"did he just apologize? The young woman had to blink back at Frost for his words to fully process in her mind again. Frost wasn't the one to apologize and perhaps he didn't mean it completely, but his tone held no ounce of sarcasm. He spoke of wanting her to see him in private. Again, with no sarcasm in his tone. There was something else there, something she couldn't pinpoint as she had never seen it before in his violet eyes which kept so hidden beneath locks of platinum hair.

What possessed Nadya she wasn't sure but she knew that the distance between them had grown smaller. Later, she may think back and regret it but in the moment there was nothing stopping her. After all, Frost had just done something completely against his character and shouldn't that be rewarded? It was the same concept as training a behavior...reward the desirable ones is it not? Yes, that would be her excuse later. Now, well, now Nadya's body pressed against Frost's as she tipped up, lips sealing over his in a kiss thoroughly unsuited for public eye. That familiar flare of fire in her veins raced through her body as her fingers on the hand resting on his chest curled into the lapel of his suit holding him to her. Seconds or minutes were lost on her and it was only the sudden flurry of commotion from Dorian shouting for the guards that caused Nadya to snap back away from Frost. Her cheeks were flushed though it was hard to tell whether it was the churn of the beast beneath from the rush of tangled emotional chaos rising to the surface, her muscles tensing trying to keep her bones from snapping and forcing her into a shift.

"Looks like Edie has bit off more than she can chew again." Nadya stepped away from Frost, slightly breathless from the kiss and her tone tense from the beast wanting to burst through her human skin, glancing briefly towards the guards descending upon Edie. Slowly she stepped back again to create more space between the pair, "I don't even know your real name." Had she made a mistake? Nadya bit at her lip and gathered the sheer fabric of her dress with a hand before hurrying away towards where Dorian was. She snatched at the fae's arm, tugging him away from Edie and the dance floor. "We need to go. Now. Where's Sam?" The more the alcohol slipped from her system due to the chaos, the more that the fire ripped through her system threatening to take over. They needed to regroup and leave. It seemed meeting the mayor and presenting the monarchy and pack would have to wait until another time.
