East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

Friendship was altogether a rarity for the young reclusive vampire. She was shy to a fault and few individuals really saw fit to engage her in little more than the five minute conversation of what they had wanted to order for dinner. She wasn't the sexual being that some of her coworkers were with breasts to show off and mini-skirts to get higher tips. Chizue was pleased to simply make it through a singular evening without some great travesty occurring - like the horror of spilling a customer's drink or accidentally dropping their food. Tonight was somewhat unique for her, she surely wouldn't have had the courage to sit and have a meal with an absolute stranger if she hadn't lost the wager he had set before her. Still, Chizue was utterly ecstatic at the prospect that she might have another friend, not to mention one that she could possibly coax to come visit her again some time. It would make her look forward to her evenings working if only for the possibility that he might walk through the door again - at some point. She hardly expected that he would have been willing to return to the tavern so soon as tomorow. A glimpse of surprise cross the young woman's features though it was quickly replaced with a warm giggle and a equally as happy grin of her own. "Tomorrow then. Same time okay?!" She declared, after all, though she wanted to spend further time with Kohl, she couldn't exactly put off the job that Isolt had tasked her too either. Somehow, she'd figure out how to manage both.

Regardless, such was a conundrum for another day, the young vampire's attention quickly turned instead towards his affinity, one in which Chizue found utterly fascinating. It was a shame the others of his kind couldn't see his power for it's potential. With each passing moment she spent dwelling on his affinity, Chizue realized quite quickly that his gift could do far more damage than himself or others had even began to consider. It was plain to see he found this entire prospect puzzling and yet, Chizue was determined to see this through. After all, that was what true friends did for one another right? They were supposed to help foster the skills, talents and hobbies of their friends. They were supposed to be loyal, helpful, and steadfast and Chizue was determined to be all these things for Kohl. He might have been the newest individual in her tiny group of friends and yet, with that simple agreement to be apart of her collection, he became infinitely more special then even he perhaps might have anticipated. "Thank you!" She responded quite quickly as Kohl agreed to come with her. "I don't know if it will work so please don't be disappointed if it doesn't but...I think it's worth the shot." After all, she abhorred the idea of this whole little plan backfiring against her. What if her failure made him feel worse about his ability?

Regardless of her momentary concerns, however, the pair were quick to deviate the conversation to what they both had to offer to this friendship. Chizue's own list was quite small in comparison. Her gaze turned momentarily towards her pie, nibbling on the contents of it while her companion inquired after that hobby she'd given up. "Oh um...I used to sing jpop, mostly. I was in a band once, there were five of us but um...I kind of died....they found a new singer now." And a vampire did not belong in a pop girl group. It was against their culture, against their beauty standards, against the 13 hour training she spent every day doing. She had been asked to leave and Chizue did so without a fuss. They were things she hardly wished to voice to her new found friend, however, and instead the young woman was all too happy to change the topic. "All finished!" She declared a moment later, having finished eating the pie that was in front of her. "Are you done?" She inquired, glancing up at her companion. After all, they had places to go and focusing upon the immediate future seemed far better than dwelling upon the past life that had no longer wanted her.
