East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

I'm more alive than I've ever been

A fierce battle wages within her as Damon draws ever nigh at the behest of her wanton fingers curled within the saturated fabric of the shirt that clings to him in the most pleasing manner. His nose skates ever so innocently against hers and, though the promised nirvana of his lips lingers there so very close for her indulgence, she does not move to kiss him. Though her body yearns for it, begs for the feel of it, Isolt does not succomb to the urge... for she has conceded to him the victory of their chase. "But you'll have to let me win sometimes, because you love me... and because I'm your Supreme," she purrs as a darkly alluring simper pulls itself across her paradoxically angelic features. But the thought, the jest, is lost as his arms tighten about her waist; bulging cords of muscle evident just beneath the surface of his skin, displayed perfectly and unabashedly by the plaster of clothing that covers him. And so does it feel as though their garments do not separate them, the sensation of him so very close as the supple fabric of her dress reveals nearly every slope, every soft and gorgeous feminine curve of her lithe frame.

Their dance is perfect, their bodies moving in tandem as if they had been crafted for one another to have. The cool droplets of rain kiss the pallor of her skin as she spins, cascading down the curve of her body as Damon dips her, Isolt's lighthearted laughter bounding from the trees of the forest within which they move. There are no happier moments than these for the youthful vampire queen, no greater joy, no grander utopia than this. It is a peculiar transition for the redhead because, just as with Damon, Isolt had never fancied herself one to succomb to the blinding reverie that was love. It was a farce, a fool's errand for which she could spare neither time nor energy.

And yet here she was, hopelessly in love.

As Damon draws their dance and their bodies to a halt there is a notable shift in the atmosphere that swirls unseen betwixt them. Anxiety, electric and sizzling, cracks between them; a foreign thing it is, indeed, and so very unlike her usually and blantantly confident lover. A furrow stitches itself into the smoothness of Isolt's brow as she means to retreat the smallest pace from the man before her as he stammers in a manner so very unlike him. "O-okay," she offers hesitantly. "What is it? What's wrong?"
