East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

I'm more alive than I've ever been

This moment, this conversation, was bound to transpire eventually given the political nature of this so-called "game" that they were, as leaders, expected to play. Though each species tended, in one manner or another, to keep to their own genus, it was an inevitability of overall social circumstance that they would come to require the cooperation (and perhaps, one day, assistance) of one another. And though Isolt held some unspoken bond to Tetradore and the majority of his pack members, an alliance had never "officially" been solidified between Nightshade and Elysium. Who would have ever dreamt that the first species to approach Sacrosanct's vampire coven would have been the local faerie monarchy? A beautiful twist in the hands of the fates, as it were. And one that is not lost on Isolt.

"Samantha, it's a pleasure to meet you," she cooes softly as she motions with a single hand towards a collection of remarkably cozy chairs situated around a small wooden table. "Of course, please have a seat. Can we get you anything?" Isolt is partial to the formalities of acting as hostess, homage to the time she had spent as such within Red on the Water and, even now as co-owner, she perpetrates them still. A sidelong glance is proffered to Damon, the smallest nod of a fire-crowned head denoting that she desires his presence for this collaboration of leaders, the status of founder and right-hand that he bares more than sufficient to grant him access to meetings such as this. Elysium was every bit his as it was hers, as it was Yumi's; however, greater still was the axiomatic truth that he was her anchor, a grounding force amidst the relative chaos of all that lay upon her shoulders. She needed him here.

Isolt lowers herself into the supple leather cradle of the chair across from that of the redheaded faerie queen, relaxing into its embrace as much as the inherent anticipation of this impromptu gathering would permit. It is then that she fixes the youthful monarch with a glance that, though direct, is not unkind, cerulean eyes aglow with something that could have been akin to hope. "Tell us, Samantha, what is it that you're looking for?"
