East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

Arlo James

See what it's like to be a vulture's lunch

Well, she didn't seem drunk, at least not terribly so, not enough to ruin the taste of her blood or leave him stumbling about the alleyways attempting to remember his own way home and cursing at strangers like a perfect fool. He couldn't afford to be drunk, not on these streets and within a city he didn't nearly know well enough to hold an understanding of all its escape routes. The vampire having learned but a handful in those few short weeks he had called this place home. It was luck perhaps that had seen such a sober young woman stumble into his trap. A rare treat of sorts and one he wasn't willing to lose any time soon, the vampire pausing to assure each and every binding knot was as secure as he could make it, effectively immobilising the woman. Her initial words are all but ignored, right up until she so attempts to shout something that would surely have been derogatory at him, her words holding the faintest touch of fear for the first time before she cut them off abruptly to struggle all the more- Arlo stepping back to eye her a moment as she did just that- assessing how tight his knots were and how well they would hold. For now, at least, they seemed to be working well. A simper touching his lips beneath that dark hoody, fangs exposed for but a moment in the light of the moon, the woman evidently having seen, the muted mention of 'vampire' hardly missed.

"Yeah, Vampire, you don't have to worry though, I don't want much- think of it as a donation."

He grinned readily once more then, Arlo so determined to look upon the bright side of life and as such have those around him do so as well regardless of what situation they were in or the fear he might have, so accidentally, placed upon them. The man so seeming to dance decidedly upon that line between friend and foe as one hand reached up to run along her neck, pressing just slightly against the warmth of her skin in search of that all too delicious vein he knew resided within. She was not his ideal prey, not truly and yet for now she would be more than sufficient, Arlo hardly concerned about his ability to stop before he drained her dry. She would simply provide a snack of sorts for him and then go on her way. Well, once the sedation off his bite wore off. Her request for a drink resulted in the softest huff of amusement parting his lips. If she wasn't dead set against him once he was done, well, maybe he would do something about that drink then and yet his victims so rarely seemed willing to engage his company afterwards- how unfortunate. It was that sudden utterance of permission however that caught the man off guard, ardent azure eyes turned towards the surprising green off her own. The girl....prettier than he had first realised, his fingers still pressed against her neck, her skin responding to that chill of his sadly dead form. Was that some kind of joke? Go ahead? No one ever said go ahead. Arlo so evidently second guessing himself now, pausing to assure her feet were still well and truly bound and that this was not merely some ploy, gaze narrowing slightly before he moved forward all the same to take that meal he was so craving.

His head tilts slightly to the side, assuring those top fangs were aligned with the vein, pressing those points ever so subtly to her skin, his free hand lifting to rest oddly just beside her opposite ear. Arlo so suddenly snapping his fingers, aiming to have the girls head jerk suddenly and in surprise at that noise, waiting for just that moment before abruptly biting down. It was far easier, after all, to have her turn her own neck all the way without his having to do so and too, to both distract her from that initial pain before his own venom spread throughout her form and so increase that blood flow ever so slightly with that small jolt of adrenaline. It was easy to puncture that vein, blood rushing to the surface in response to those symmetrical wounds and his own saliva that saw the blood run more freely, Arlo barely needing to further coax that blood to run onto his tongue and down his throat. A soft sound of appreciation stirring from within him all the same as he fed. The longer the man fed the less concerned he so became about the woman attempting any sort of escape aware of that venom so rapidly coursing through her veins and so lulling the woman into a rather blissful state of sedation, his knots, if anything, assuring she stayed on her feet (have his victims fall over completely was quite the problem on occasion), Arlo feeding for several more minutes before pressing his tongue to those wounds once the edge was taken from his hunger, closing the holes he had left before leaning away. Hand wiping across his lips.

"See? That was easy wasn't it? Hey? You still awake? It won't last very long don't worry. I'm not going to untie you until you can at least stand up though. I'm chivalrous like that."
