East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

SOMEDAY I'LL WALK AWAY AND SAY
YOU FUCKIN' DISAPPOINT ME

Maybe You're Better Of This Way...

I couldn't help but laugh as the woman doggedly flitted about Tobias, despite his attempts to bat her away. Clearly she was cut-throat in her work, not to be deterred.

"Easy boy, she'll be done soon enough" I offered as way of reassurance, before the woman all but dragged him towards the dressing rooms. I noticed Tobi's ears perk at the mention of cake, an inquiry falling from his lips as he follows her with more enthusiasm. Clearly, cake is something the young man finds to be of reward, and I grin.

"If it's cake you want Tobias, I'll see to it you have whatever piece of your preference after our steaks... so long as you don't overburden our kind seamstress too here." I grinned sharply, knowing that would be no easy task for the were-leopard. There was no getting him into one of the cramped stalls to dress, much to the woman's dismay.

I looked on with that same quirked grin as she gave a shriek and averted her eyes, turning to me with flushed red cheeks and a look of disdain. I shrugged haplessly.

"My friend is from a people where clothes are of little importance, ma'am. You'll have to forgive him" I said as the only means of explanation. When Tobi has dressed, he turns to me, eyes reaching out for approval as he looks himself over with a mirror the saleswoman had prompted him to. I gave him the thumbs up, grin spreading into a true smile as I handed the woman my credit card.

"Lookin' good my man." I winked at him as the woman rang up the hefty sum and offered me the card and a receipt to sign. Then we were off and running again... well, so to speak. Heading back to the truck and settling in, I glanced at my companion. "So, I hear tell of a boat on the peer in the west District. Great Steaks, and greater fun with cage fights."

I quirked a brow, wondering if Tobias was already aware of said place. Surely the keen leopard who thought himself the king of the warehouses would be privy to it. "A night of bawdy brawling, booze and good eats sounds divine, don't you agree?"
