East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

Nadya Tetradore

Nadya wasn't sure what she expected to find within the bowels of that van but a warped cage and curled up kitten wouldn't have been on her list of possibilities. It took a moment once the ebony jaguar passed into those shadows to see the small figure huddled in the corner and another longer moment to leave her confused stunned mind in order to reach out and question the little thing if it was ok. She remained stationed where she was so as to not startle it, tail twitching behind her as she watched the little one clearly struggle on what was going on.

That foreign small voice that entered her mind called a name that Nadya didn't know. Slowly she shook her head in answer, "No." Her own eyes glanced at the bead of light that pulled at the little one's attention to so try and swat at it. By her size, this child was several years older than her two year old toddlers, but still young enough that it was abnormal to be without their parent. However, it was that glint of a tag upon the girl's ear that caused her to glance back at the warped cage and then at the iron separator that blocked the view of the deceased drivers. A pet. Hunters? Surely, her being tagged, meant others would know of this accident and be on their way shortly.

Those thoughts put a sense of urgency in Nadya to leave seeing as being caught would do her own offspring no good. Her attention turned back to the girl where she was settled before her, her little voice brushing against Nadya's mind once more in question. The panther's ears swiveled, heightened senses checking their surroundings for impending danger as she debated what to do. "My name is Nadya. What is your name?" The kitten's trembling had Nadya's chest tightening as it prodded at her maternal instinct. Although Nadya was anxious to dart away from the van to avoid any connection to possible hunters tracking her...she couldn't bring herself to abandon the little girl.

"Don't be frightened, I won't hurt you." Nadya sighed softly. She brought her large head down to gently nudge at the girl's shoulder with a soft reassuring purr. "Why don't you come with me and I can get you some food?" Nadya slowly pulled away and took a testing step back to see if the kitten followed her.
