East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

What's going on?

And I scream from the top of my lungs,

What's going on?!

I am still sitting next to Sylas, my hand on his arm, my breath catching as I sit and try to think of what I am supposed to do with all this shit. When I realize suddenly that he's laughing. My blue eyes turn to stare at his face, my body not following the motion as I side eye the scrawny fucker who has decided to LAUGH. Pulling my hand away from him, I fold my arms against my chest and glare. "Oh, it does does it." My words are flat, and obviously not amused. "Well I don't watch my boyfriend sticking himself with scissors everyday, fuck you." There was a hint of hurt as I swore at him, but in truth I was just relieved he was getting himself together, and I tried to wipe the tears from my face, realizing I was only smearing blue ink over my face from the signings. Could this night possibly get any worse? Sylas was a mess of blood, and I had tears and blue ink all over myself...oh ya, and a blue dick thanks to a fan who wanted to draw something on my arm. Sylas was still laughing, exclaiming about the scissors in his chest like he'd only just realized it. "You're brilliant. You know that." I hit him with the back of my hand, in the shoulder, and sighed. "Stop laughing before I kick your ass, we..."

I fell silent as I heard the door knob as well, swivelling around to face the door and see who it was, only to remember I'd locked it. Turning back to Sylas, I shrug slightly and start to stand as he's speaking, obviously having the same idea...Jackson might be able to help us. "Ya ya, I am." I mumble as I get to the door and unlock it, I crack it open and stick my head out, making eye contact with Jackson, a look of Oh shit on my face. Peeking down the hall to make sure there wasn't anyone else, cause...it seemed like the smart thing to do, I grabbed Jackson by the arm and dragged him in, closing the door and locking it quickly behind him. Jack stood a moment, his hand on his goatee, silent and glancing from Sylas to the woman. For a moment I thought he was going to panic or something, but instead he just shook his head and looked at me. "Aren't you not supposed to kill them?" I threw my arms up and walked away from him, "Thanks Captain obvious, you've saved the day."

Standing in front of Sylas again, I bent down on one knee, quirking my lips to the side as I stared into his eyes a second, "Here we go.." I spoke in a whisper, reached forward, and pulled the scissors from his chest with one hard pull. Without waiting for any sort of response, I got up and walked to the body of the woman and stared down at her maimed body. "Ok Jack, what do we do? Time to pay up on all that 'I know everyone' talk." bending down carefully, I stretched my arm around the woman's body and stabbed the scissors into her neck, right where the bite mark was. Lurching backwards, I let out a little yelp of protest. It was so different than when I sang to them, lulled them into an intoxicated swoon before drinking...this, it was cold and gross. And while I can be a pretty big asshole, I wasn't a killer. I might seem to not care about the corpse in front of me, but I had a gift for internalizing my emotions, with the exception it would seem, of seeing Sylas hurt...that was more than I could contain.

"Well, that takes care of the bite...but what about the rest of this?"I said, swirling my finger in the air at the mess throughout the room. "She attacked him, that's why he's stabbed, and the mess...see? Everything's all broken up." I spoke as I walked to Sylas and made to hold him, "You need to sit your stupid ass down on the couch for now." He wasn't much smaller than I was, but two inches shorter and built like a green bean, so I put my hands under his arms and pulled him up towards the couch with a little huff.
