East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

The blood has already begun to dry upon his pelt, matting in his practically dreadlocked mane from years of defying the wraith from below and escaping the beauty that is death yet all the while bestowing it upon others. He is the devil's worker, drawn the pits of hell to simply drag others into the fires. He could never leave it, that inferno from below, it lingers in his thoughts, igniting his mind when he closes his eyes.

A curse.

The self control it takes for him to move away from her, to refrain from allowing her own cool flames to consume him. The lion moves, allowing the fresh air to spill into his lungs and wash away the fog from his mind. The air is clean, though it is laced with the thick scents of murder. His jaw's part, a strong yawn breaking from him. Drained, that is the word for it. Always, if he isn't fighting a battle out here he is constantly fighting one within. He sits, massive shoulders bracing slightly for the fall that is to come. For a moment, he is free of her.

But only for a moment.

For as the massive beast goes to lay down, the girl lunges. He lowers to the ground, turning his head to snarl at her as she darts away from his parted, bloodied jaws. Pressure falls upon his back as she flocks to him like a moth to a light and then, electricity. It pulses through his neck in a stream of currents from her simple bite. Instantly, he collapses onto the earth fully, rolling to swipe at her with those giant, life stealing paws as a low, rumbling roar breaks from his throat. It is short, a simple show of unapproval by her actions before he fully rolls to the side to face her. That head shakes, mane rustling wildly even with that light action. "Iórkæll dværg, you are?" he replies simply, his husky tones raspy even in his thoughts. Her voice in his mind had that affect on him.

Hell, a lot of what she does has an affect on him.

How long had they been out here? More importantly, how long had he been with her? That lower jaw goes slack once more, a gentle pant flowing from him in rythym as he turns to face away from her. A subtle gentle haze was upon the horizon, within hours it would be day and the world would not be ready to witness a lion of his magnitude roaming the deepest parts of the park. The sun would rid the earth of the headless bodies upon the earth. The other body? Well the cleanup crew would have to deal with that, not his problem.

He rises, stretching his massive torso out before glancing at her sideways, "i need to shower." wait for it.... "join me?" so bold, so abrasive, so like the viking. It is a request.

This time.
