East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

you could rattle the stars.
you could do anything,
if only you dared

She might have stiffened at the way he grasps her hand, inspecting the scars that linger upon her flesh, but she manages to swallow the urge to yank her arms away from him. The assassin didn't particularly like to be touched, the things Ivan had done to her had made sure of that, though somewhere along the lines Tetradore had been the exception, she wanted him to touch her. Quickly shoving the brooding Were King from her mind, she allows this stranger to regard her scars, a nod in affirmation as she explains her story. This time she's ready for his grip as she offers the other hand to him folding it into a fist.

She allows him to trace the scars along her other hand, "None, I can't even feel that," she states, as his rubs his fingers across that section of flesh that held no feeling. "I thought about shoving a knife through it just to see if that nonexistent feeling went all the way through," she gives a small shrug, a coy smile playing on her lips briefly. As he forces her hand open, her blue eyes quickly dart down to his large hand engulfing her own scar flecked hands, not particularly enjoying the intimate way he now caressed her fingers. Subtly, she pulls her hand from his, reaching to grab her drink and taking a swig, rather enjoying that burning course it took through her chest.

A devilish grin stretches across her features as she turns towards him, inspecting his tattoos openly, how the scars seemed to entwine with the ink themselves. Giving another shrug, she takes another sip, contemplating on which scar she would be most interested in hearing about. "How about your most wicked story you have? Those are always the most fun," she flashes him a sultry grin that doesn't quite reach her eyes. A game she would play. She hadn't had this much fun in ages. Dorian was far from fun, he simply worked her until she thought she would die from hunger, though those lessons had been helpful. Sebastian was another story, she had somehow become entwined in his life the moment she met him at that blasted bar and she had nearly died. And Tetradore, Tetradore was not someone she wanted to think about right now.

There is a stalking presence at the corner of her eye that draws Vhalla's attention, the woman is back, tear stained and angry as she spits out at the two. Hiding a smile behind her glass, Vhalla turns in her chair to face the woman, as she crosses lean muscled leg over the other, practically emitting an almost condescending aurora now. "Vanessa, darling," she pauses, a knowing look crossing her features as she intentionally uses her wrong name, "Save yourself the embarrassment and move along," she waves with her fingers towards the exit, "Clearly you weren't that good if he didn't call you back," she purrs at her, finishing her drink and setting it on the table, arms folded across her chest as the white hair spills over her shoulders.

"If you need to find someone to move on from your heartbreak, perhaps I can be of service to you," a cruel smile tugs at the corner of her lips as she taps her scarred fingers on her arm in a patient way. Of course, she wouldn't sleep with the woman, she merely just wanted this wreck of a human gone, she was rather enjoying her conversation with John.
