East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

His voice rang out, the baritones of his voice flooding her ears. She simply smiles; perhaps she had a bit of both, but her enemies were few and far between. She does not respond, simply stares with those lovely piercing eyes. He simply did not have a clue.

He spoke again after releasing her prey. She does not allow her captive to get away as he squirms on the ground, placing her heel at his throat to prevent him from moving, which in turn leaves her immobile. It is like the two vampires are partaking in a deadly dance, each move appeared choreographed and yet unpredictable to each other. It was the other vampire's turn to stalk her, encircling her whilst speaking. His very voice puts her flesh on edge, that tingling sensation at the base of her neck. He stops to face her and she meets his gaze readily. "Really?" Her voice is like satin, as the notes in her dark melodic voice that dance across flesh. A dark chuckle escapes her, languid and smooth. "Perhaps we don't share the same sense of humour." Her was expression smug, like a cat who had her fill of the cream. It was a malicious and sinful smile that played upon her crimson red lips, her tongue darting to the corner of her lips, betraying that diabolical framework of her mind. Hm.

The raven haired vampire asks him why he wanted him dead, after all, she knew her own reasons in wanting his death. They no longer seemed as important now, but she still knew that had to be done. Now look who was doing who a favour? He wanted him dead and she was more than willing to kill him, it just so happened they both wanted the same thing. This time.

She knows how her wriggling worm is going to die, the victim at the bottom of her heel. He would soon get exactly what he wanted, all that money and greed would suffocate him. Her illusions spark to life, a catalyst of energy and magic at her fingertips. His mouth opens, gaping for attempt at getting air. Suddenly there is money and it swirls around him, thousands and thousands of dollars just simply swirling overhead. When suddenly they seem to slow, taking pause before they move toward his open mouth, agape in silent scream, they file in one by one, a bill at a time. The man claws at anything it could grasp; the ground, his face, whatever he possibly can to try and rid himself of this. But there is nothing he can do, there was no escape from her malicious torment. One by one the man is filled with an assortment of the money he so desperately loved, forced to swallow them whole. At least he thought. The illusion was so vivid and he felt it as though it were real, every piece of dry paper being shoved down his throat until his stomach could not hold anymore, until he could no longer breathe. Of course, there was really nothing there, but the mind was a powerful thing. It believed this was actually happening, hell, he and the vampires could actually see it. It might as well could have been real. But oddly enough, it wasn't the suffocation that stole the man's final breath, it was his heart giving out. "Well that was anticlimactic. She sighs, suddenly losing her appetite. Her voice holds a nonchalance as she spoke to the other vampire who had witnessed quite a show. She used the vampire's words from before. "It would appear he was neither smart nor strong." After all he was only human. He didn't even try to fight, it was rather disappointing.

She looks down at the lifeless body at her feet, removing the pressure off of her heel. "You're welcome." She did what he did not and now her meal was wasted. His blood was no good to the illusionist now, wasted by the heart attack that poisoned his now useless blood. What a pity. Now I am left hungry and with a man who thinks I have no sense of humour. I think you owe me now." Look how these tables turn. She had killed someone he wanted dead, did she not? Well there is a cost to business, darling.
