East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

Take Me Where I've Never Been

I may not understand why the woman has black rings under her eyes, but I do know what it is like to be absolutely exhausted. I remember the first time I had gone through my first change into a Were-horse. The excruciating pain I was feeling left me drained and weak. Not only could I barely keep myself awake, but I could barely move. My arms and legs felt as if they weighed 100 hundred pounds, and I could hardly move. All I wanted to do was sleep and I am sure if my Maker would have allowed me, I would have slept for a whole entire month. Sadly he wouldn't allow it. He said I had to stay awake and move, get my body adjusted to the trauma it had gone through. Changing from a girl to a massive sized horse was not easy. Whatever the reason why she looked fatigued wasn't my business, but I could at least help the woman out.

I've always felt safe here in the café. I mean nothing bad has ever happened. Sure I've had to deal with rude and angry customers, but I knew how to handle them. There were days when I loathed coming in to take care of my shift, but I got over it. It's not really a home for me, but it is something close to one. Everyone likes to go somewhere where everybody knows your name. I do indeed enjoy being around the were-fox and the ancient King, their company is something I appreciate. Sadly though they disappear to have fun together or Alex goes off to do whatever he wishes to do with my Maker. I liked Anastasia, but she left for whatever reason, and here we go feeling abandoned all over again, but at least I still feel pretty darn safe. The thanks I received was met with a small smile. I extend my hand to shake her own, as my vice chirps out brightly.

"Nice to meet you Columbia, I'm Calliel."

I step away from her for a moment as another order is given. As I make my last order, I notice the businessman behind her being a bit annoyed, so when I hand him his coffee, I inflict some pain in his head, a major headache, as he begins to walk away. I am indeed available. After all there is no one in line. Everyone seems content and lookie here, the girl that is supposed to help out has arrived. Good. She can do some work while I head after that woman with the white hair. Before I go, I shall help myself to an earl grey tea, and head on over to the outside patio. It wasn't difficult to find her. I head on over and casually pull out the chair and sit down. I'm not an introvert, but I'm not an extrovert either. Really I'm surprised a complete stranger wants me around, but hey I'll bite.

"So, are you new in town?"
