East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

As her eyes brighten at the unusual word, Miyako can't help but pout as he refuses to answer it. Folding her arms across her chest, she pushes out her lower lip slightly as she looks at him grumpily. "Well, you could tell me now," she mutters. Perhaps, if she could remember, she would look it up when she got home. As their conversation shifts to the craziest thing she had ever done, she must rack her brain for a moment before settling on a story. Miya pauses mid-sentence as he laughs at her choice of words, shooting him a narrowed look.

His teasing reply has her own soft smile tugging at her lips before she responds, "I know, I was such a rebel child," she giggles quietly, entirely missing the way his eyes rove her slender stomach. After she lowers her shirt again, she nearly takes him up on the offer but she hesitates before responding as her mind toys with the words 'little girl'. Frowning at him briefly, "I can assure you I'm not a little girl," she replies with a light scowl, though she hardly enforces her statement before continuing. "Fine, I will prove it to you. I can be crazy if I want to, I'm not boring," she says definitely though she could feel the lie sinking into her.

Miyako was the most normal woman in the existence of humanity. What did she do for fun? She breathed to go to school and work, she hardly did anything else. Perhaps, enjoy the company of her roommate, yet the girl had no other hobbies. She had no time for fun. Heaving a small sigh, she slides to the ground and when she offers him a seat next to her, her heart jumps as he settles himself next to her, his eyes fixing themselves on her. Perhaps she should have stayed standing, he seemed less intimidating that way. Attempting to slow her heart racing she takes a few deep breaths before turning her gaze back onto him, asking him what he did.

When he replies, Miya shrinks back from his first set of words, "Ah, I don't think I could ever sky dive, I don't do well on planes. I'm afraid of heights," she admits, "I'm glad there's people like you that like to do that stuff," she laughs lightly. His next sentence has her pausing, her eyes widening a bit as he regards him a bit more closely, "Wait, are you a criminal? Do I need to get my pepper spray out?" She asks dead serious pausing a moment before she lets out a small giggle, her tone clearly teasing now. Miyako was anything but practical, if the man wanted to harm her he would have already. They were locked in an elevator for god's sake, he could have done anything to her and she would have been defenseless.

Finally, when he supplies his last statement, Miya's face is instantly flushed scarlet, "Oh my god," she says a bit breathlessly, looking away from him. She must keep her hands in her lap to keep from fanning herself. "That's, um, that's not what I expected to hear," she stumbles awkwardly over her words. He had sex in a church! Her mind is screaming at her completely scrambling her filter, "Did you get caught?" she blurted out before a hand comes up to cover her mouth horrified. "Oh my god, I can't believe I just asked you that. I'm sorry! You don't need to answer that- actually, just forget I asked you that. Don't answer it," she replies quickly, her face becoming redder as time wears on.

It takes a moment before she can get through her embarrassment, her red face becoming pink rather than scarlet as she takes several deep breaths before turning back to Magnus. She's thankful for the change of subject as Magnus questions her. It takes the small woman a moment to reply, afraid that if she opened her mouth she would word-vomit all over the man. "I'm months away from becoming a full fledge doctor," she gives a small shrug, "That's fun to me. I don't really do anything besides that. I work nights and so does my roommate so I never see him," she sighs, "I've been here for months now and the only thing I've done is get coffee," she admits with a weak smile. "I haven't had any opportunity to make friends," she admits again, a bit surprised with herself that she allowed her that weak moment of complaint.

Miya is very nearly about to open her mouth to ask him a question before the elevator gives a rough jerk that sends her flying into Magnus. Her head knocks painfully against his as she lands, quite literally in his lap, her hands fisted against his chest. "Ouch," she mutters, blinking away the pain, "I'm sorry! I didn't mean to hit you," she exclaims, mortified, searching his head for any bruises. Finding none, the lights flicker briefly before the elevator begins to move again. Smiling, she turns back to Magnus, looking up at him, only now realizing how her slim body is pressed up against his massive frame, "Oh," she whispers, embarrassed before she pushes herself off him, "Er, sorry," she mutters, her ears turning red in the process.

She is only just pushing away from him when the elevator jerks again sending her slamming back into his chest. "This is ridiculous," she exclaims, pushing off his chest to look back up at him, her cheeks tinged pink, "I didn't hurt you, did I?"
